This place was recommended by locals and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. We loved looking out the window to see planes flying in and out of the adjacent airport. The wait staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. But....most importantly...the food was delicious. The smoked chicken was seasoned with a rub that might just be the best I've tasted. And the hush puppies with jalapeno butter...WOW

Friendly & Clean environment with fresh & delicious food. Weekend Entertainment. Located in the Kimberly Plaza next to Food Lion on Monroe St.
Tv's and music. Delicious appetizers, including fried pickles and buffalo chicken dip. Chicken wings with every sauce option imagineable. Locally owned, great brews from Southern Pines brewery, family and fun atmosphere. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, everything made fresh. House made fries. All ABC permits. Nice, clean, comfortable sports bar with character. Great meet up spot for friends, everyone is friendly.

Husband and I stopped for an early dinner on a Friday night. The fried chicken was disappointing, as were the lima beans and slaw. Husband's flounder and hush puppies were very good. Service was bad. Waitress forgot the slaw and never refilled our tea. I asked if the onion rings were homemade. She didn't know and didn't bother to go and ask.
If we go back (and we probably won't), I will try something else from their very large menu.

New name: Ronnie's Chuckwagon. Cash Only. Order at counter and they bring your meal to your table. Outside & inside seating. Very roomy and clean. The best BBQ sandwich I have had in this area. Had a nice smokey flavor and I didn't detect any vinegar taste. French fries cooked just right. Drove 20 miles to try it again. Glad I did.

If you are anywhere in Moore County NC it's worth the drive to eat and get your coffee or tea here. The food is always tasty and made to order. Try the breakfast burrito, it's wonderful! Darryl and the gang always makes you feel welcomed and at home.

Can't be beat in the area. About 6 miles east of Carthage right on highway 24-27. A very popular place for breakfast and lunch and have a drive up window. I recommend their home made biscuits with sausage gravy, biscuit sandwiches or a full breakfast plate. Their lunch specials can't be beat. I have been there several times when in the area and have never been disappointed with the portions, price or service. Very friendly folks and worth the stop.

Brother and I just dropped in while heading to the countryside and he had a hot meatball sub and I had the small, hot Italian sub. We both agreed it was the best sandwich we had had in a long time. Many locals there, county workers, Sherrif's deputy, etc. That is always a good sign. It was so good my brother is taking his wife up there for lunch today.

Fantastic tiny bakery & cafe located where Mr. B's used to be, just steps from the courthouse. Not fast food, but good, healthy, tasty food. We had a wonderful chicken salad (chunks of chicken, black beans, corn, tortilla strips, onion, tomato, and more over a bed of lettuce) and an excellent pimento cheese and bacon on artisan toast with homemade potato salad. While this was our first visit, it will not be our last!
The bakery display has a small assortment of wonderful cookies and baked goodies!
Warning, only open for breakfast and lunch!

Plesent little side street restaurant specializing in soups and sandwiches. Friendly staff but not over the top.
Soup and chili were tasty, both needed a little seasoning. Chicken salad sandwich said thyme but tasted none. Again needed salt and pepper.
Nice change from roadside burger or chicken.

On the way back from golfing at the Little River Golf Course we stopped at Casa Garcia in Carthage. It was mid afternoon so the restaurant was empty. It was very nice inside as it appeared to be pretty new. The service was fast and excellent and although the beer menu was limited, the prices were very good. We all had the lunch specials, which were quick, inexpensive, and good. I had chicken enchiladas and a beef taco with rice. The enchilada and the rice were excellent but the taco was a bit dry so I added their excellent salsa to it and it was great. My fellow golfers also enjoyed their meals. We will definitely go back again.
