A city of natural beauty, charm, history and western hospitality, this state capital derived its name from Kit Carson, the legendary trapper, scout and explorer. A trip to the city is a living history lesson. One need only jump on the Kit Carson Trail downtown, which passes old mansions, courthouses, a depot and a brewery, to experience a taste of life in the Old West. Also downtown, the State Capitol, built in 1870, offers a look at the birth of Nevada as a state and Carson City as its capital. Other historic landmarks, cultural heritage centers and museums dot the landscape around town, but don't forget your clubs. The city is well-known for the Divine Nine, a group of top-rated area courses designed by pros such as Arnold Palmer, Johnny Miller and John Harbottle and set amid the magnificent Sierra Mountains. After a little golf, gambling or sightseeing, spend some down time at the Carson City Hot Springs. You will emerge feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and ready for more exciting endeavors.

Authentic Thai Cuisine in a dining room setting our service staff is here to aid assist your dining pleasure. We offer the freshest food prepared by our wonderful Chef Nan who puts love and attention into every dish.
Decided to go Thai Basil after a long absence . Nicely decorated restaurant located in historic downtown Carson City. Greeted and seated right away. There are plenty of choices and spice levels. The Bangkok spring rolls are great and nicely presented. Tempeh was offered as a choice for vegetarians. Service is good not intrusive.

Although this is a very good restaurant, and everyone in Carson suggests it, I personally believe it to be a bit over-rated. Although the ingredients are locally sourced and fresh, I've found the dishes that I've ordered to be "hit or miss." After trying several items on the menu, including lamb, steak, salmon, I've come to settle on the schnitzel as my favorite dish and this is primarily what I order if I go to Adele's. The bar is well stocked and nice. My partner and I like sitting at the bar rather than in the stuffy indoor seating area. We've never had the chance to sit outside as that area is small and has always been full when we've been there.

The margarita tasted like the prep before a colonoscopy, and the food was bland.
The smoke from adjacent casino was prevalent, and may have contributed to the tastelessness of the food.
The servers were polite and kind.

Read reviews and thought it sounded good. Sundae special biscuits and gravy. There were big chunks of sausage throughout the gravy. The homemade biscuits (tasted like made with bisquick) were good and right out of the oven. No complaints for a big plate of food $5.00.
Coffee decent and lots of refills. Waitress busy but friendly. If I lived nearby I’d eat there a lot!

We experienced another grrat dining experience at Red's Old 395 restaurant.
We took our 3 grandchildren, my husba nd and me and everybody found s something they loved. The people are very friendly and, even though it was busy, very accomodating. Our food took a little whike to receive but we'll worth the wait. The portions, were generous, even for the kid's, and very delicious. If you want a great meal, excellent service and friendly atmosphere, I highly recommednd dining at Red's Old 395 restaurant.

The Fox Brewpub, is an English-Style restaurant, brewpub and gathering place that was established in 2007 in the heart of the recently revitalized downtown corridor of Carson City, NV. The Fox is located within the Historic St. Charles Hotel which was built in 1862. A local restaurant… operated by locals!
Came here several times while I was in Carson, mostly because there aren't many options in the small downtown area within walking distance of where I was staying, the place is affordable, and it has that brew pub feel to it.
I had a few items, and really liked the steak salad. The meat loaf was also spectacular, maybe the best I've ever had. There's lots of seating options....outside, inside, or you can cozy up to the bar....AND there's a 2nd bar in the "back area" along with a private party room between the two areas, but it doesn't seem like it would be that private since the access to the bathrooms also shuffles past the space.
It seems like a popular local joint, with merchants shuffling in and out. The staff is friendly, attentive and chatty. "Gingerbeard" the bartender is really funny, he should do standup. We'll try to forgive him for being a Dodger fan. I said "try." :)

Flavorful and tasty Mexican food. Attentive service. The manager/?owner? went around the tables asking if all was ok. Colorful atmosphere. Can easily accommodate large groups. We arrived mid-afternoon. There were quite a few people considering the off hour. Located in a non-descript strip mall. Well worth a visit.

Serves high quality and homemade foods and baked goods
LA Bakery just opened their new building and is now busier than ever for lunch. Love all their sandwiches and salads. If you have room for dessert, eat half and take the rest home for later. It is great to have a little bit of Italy in Carson City...

We don't know about the casino because we don't play slots. But the food was very good. Ate breakfast. Omelet was very good and eggs Benedict could use a little more flavor. We returned for pizza later and it was great. Very flavorful and don't to perfection. Staff was wonderful
