The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. In my opinion, it is an overpriced restaurant. I do not plan to return.

We went there on a recommendation from a friend. Located in a business park and highly visible store front. My wife had the Scrod in breadcrumbs and I had the Veal Parm, both dinners were extremely good and the portions are large. Very nice dining room with great view of the sunset over the city of Pittsburgh.

I usually stop in here once a week for coffee. Delicious coffee, reasonable prices, excellent service.

Never would have thought we could find such a great place in a small town. Superlative in all aspects; service, intimacy and superior cooking. Downstairs, the flavor of a neighborhood watering hole, upstairs a fine dining experience. Dining menu is thoughtful, not over done and well executed. The cocktails were also delicious. Very much new destination for us.

Had breakfast here with my son this past Sunday. It's a very small place with limited seating but don't let that stop you from trying this place. It was very busy but our waitress was very attentive and the menu selection was large. Our food arrived hot and delicious. Can't wait to return and try again but this time for their lunch menu.

5 of us for dinner on a Friday night. We had a great time with the bartender "John", we were challenging him with "special" martini's. Key Lime, toasted coconut, ginger snap. He came over to our table and told us he was having a great time because "I knew the way you were ordering, you weren't from Pgh". On to dinner. We had the fresh pretzels with brown mustard and one of the group wanted cheese sauce. Our waiter "Karl" (with a K) came back with cheese soup for dipping, it was incredible. The lobster bisque had lobster you could see and identify! Rate that one a 5 star. 2 of us had veal piccata, excellent, tender and just the right hint of lemon. Served with side of linguini and roasted crisp asparagus. The salad by the way had bacon, onion, tomatoes, shredded cheddar, lettuces, large and fresh. Crab cakes were another favorite, just enough filler to hold together. Fresh taste and seasoned with just a tough of Old Bay and lemon ) They also had a full menu of Octoberfest specials from brats and wursts to old fashioned apple strudel, which one of us ordered. Huge portion served with vanilla bean ice cream. I can't say enough about of server Karl. He was by far the best any of our group have ever had. He also spoke loudly enough we could hear what he said without him having to repeat it 4 times. He was pure and simple a pleasure. We went back the next night, but only the bar this time as festivities had already been planned. John remembered us from the night before and again, had fun with ordering our "tini's". This restaurant has 4 other locations, these are privately owned by the same family. Please give this one a try so I can live vicariously thru others posting about this great place.

As Executive Chef & Partner of Altius, Jessica Gibson’s approach to contemporary American cuisine is refined and modern with a respect for the integrity and quality of her ingredient driven menu. Your first visit may be for the view, but you will return again and again to enjoy one of Pittsburgh’s premiere fine dining experiences.
Although the atmosphere is somewhat upscale, there is a very comfortable feel here. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable, but not at all intrusive. The view is spectacular from any table. AND THE FOOD!! I've been here 3 times with groups of four people, and every meal has been incredible, from the bread/butter selection, to the wonderful desserts. Appetizers and entrees are unique and imaginative, and cooked to perfection.

Every item on the menu is a bacon lovers paradise. It may have a big bacon flavor, or it may just have a hint of bacon-slapped flavor. It's a delicious combination for the sweet and the savory palettes. An awesome addition to downtown Carnegie and very convenient to anyone driving on the Parkway from downtown out to Robinson.

We had lunch here today and found it to be perfect diner food. They had a nice-sized menu without the plethora of too many choices on it. I like a place that does not promote a multi-page menu; stick with the basics, add a couple of your own specialties, and you're good to go!
My dining partner had the Patty Melt with Home Fries and he raved about his meal, especially the Home Fries. I had a very tasty Club Sandwich with a side of Fries, and it was exactly what I wanted.
The service is the service you expect at a diner -- quick, professional, but without too much chit-chat. You want to get to know your server, go to Ruth's Chris. You want to get your order in, go to Bob's Diner.
This will go into our regular rotation of dining options.
