EL ANCLA is a Bar/Restaurant, open every day of the year from 8.00 hours until closing hours (seasonal) 23.00/1.30. Here can taste both local, and sea products best, Iberian meats of our northern highlands and ox and Galician calves. We have one living room, one for tapas, a bar more than 10 meters long, as well as a Terrace equipped for summer and winter.
Given the other favourable reviews, I'm sorry to have to report that I have seldom had worse food.
The main man was friendly and helpful, but our meal was a disaster.
Our aubergine starter had been fried in old fat, and was pretty unpleasant.
Our sole main course was served with its internal organs intact and bleeding. After that we couldn't look at any more food.
They knew we were not happy, but they didn't seem to care.
I feel badly misled by the other reviews.

Very nice place with excellent Spanish food and wine. Located in an old building in Carmona! We dined Iberico pork steaks. Stopped here while driving from Carmona to Cadiz. The service was very good. It gets very busy for comida, would recommend a reservation which we did!

An amazingly friendly place.. Very welcoming from the staff to the patrons.
Mostly residents eating here and the food is well above the local average quality.
Great choices even for vegetarians.. And more than happy to adapt other dishes for veggies too.
Jerman the owner was extremely hospitable, only wish we have tried this place on the first night and not the last..!

Our peerless tavern gives way to our à la carte restaurant. Room decorated with flamenco motifs where you can enjoy a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Our dishes are made with the best raw materials obtained from our region, keeping the secret of the ancient Andalusian cuisine at the same time innovating new flavors offering the most modern kitchen. In addition the Tabanco restaurant has an outdoor Terrace, located in a typical Andalusian patio where the faint sound of running water gives it some character mozárabe garden, making the patio one of the nicest places in the spring - summer all province.
We visited twice. The first time we had a couple of tapas which were ok but nothing special. Thought we would give it a try again on the rcommendation of reception staff at hotel. Second time very disappointed as menu was quite limited and the food that came was cold. When asked we were told it should be served semi warm but the texture of cold grease was horrible. We were going to try ordering other things but found it difficult to get served as it was quite busy so gave up after a while. Would not go back.

We stayed at the Parador 2 nights and planned to sample other restaurants in Carmona. But after the first meal, we didn't want to miss any opportunity to eat there repeatedly. We ate hake, corvina, and Rooster crepes! Oh so delicious. Salads always filled with fresh greens and other delightful morsels. Yummy desserts. We made the mistake of thinking that the wine we loved--Protis? a Spanish varietal might be available here in the US. Alas, not. Bring some home with you! Best ever. And the corvina, a white fish that we see only on menus in Chile, was spectacular. We booked in advance the first night; then thought that as hotel guests, we could just drop in any time. It was clearly not the case--as they were filled on the second night. But they quickly pulled a table together for us. The service was as good as the food. Breakfast was ample, with many fresh fruits in addition to usual cereals, eggs. And the greatest treat in Spain is that free appetizer at the start of a dinner. It is always the chef's inventive and delicious new combination of unusual foods, blended with his culinary skills. Do not be tempted to shop around in Carmona if you are staying at the Parador--you will have the best meals on your trip at Parador dining room.

Great honest food which is inexpensive and very typical. It's in a more residential area of Carmona opposite a small leafy plaza. Friendly people.

Staying in the Parador of Carmona, we couldn't face another Parador meal, and had booked La Yedra, which is, literally, opposite the entrance to the Parador. It would be worth driving to Carmona just to visit this restaurant, the food is so good. My husband started with jamón, which was excellent, but like all of the best pata negra, expensive. My tempura of prawns and vegetables was a tasty work of art. Then we both had warm foie de pato, which was the best we can remember, and we've had some memorable ones ! We even had desserts which is unusual for us.
I would disagree with some other reviews saying that it is expensive, 10€ for starters, 20€ for mains and 5€ for puddings is about average for a restaurant of this calibre.
The service is friendly and efficient,. The only sad thing was to see this restaurant only half full, which I think may be down to the inexpensive half-board packages that the parador is offering.

Returned from Seville at 10pm and needed some tapas so made short walk from Parador . Very quiet but just what we needed. Friendly couple serving and loads tapas choices. We had , amounts other things, stewed bulls cheeks and pulpo. Everything was delicious and we will definitely go back to have a drink and check out the view!

Two of us went to this restaurant/bar as was number one on TripAdvisor for food in Carmona. We were disappointed. They opened 15 minutes late. The tapas we had were fine but we were expecting top class. The service was quick, friendly and efficient but the food was a big negative. All the other places in Carmona where we ate were better

Stopped here for a drink after a long day in Seville.
I ordered a Gordon's gin and tonic husband ordered a pint.
My gin was enormous and beautifully presented, also good beer so both happy friendly staff and a great family atmosphere. Very busy with locals.
