Delicious tapas from this little gem of a restaurant. Friendly service and good quality combined with some very good value offers (12 king prawns in batter and 6 x 200ml beers for €10!).
In the tradition of Spain don't arrive before about 9pm as they may not have got round to opening

One of the best options in Caravaca. It's the typical high level restaurant from Murcia. Well prepared fried entrees, high quality market fish and seafood, good meat.
Excellent option in Caravaca to enjoy Murcia food. Best to enjoy with family or friends.
Limited healthy options. When you come to these places you know that you are going to eat lots of protein, fried stuff and won't be able to skip desert.
Price is good according to quality and service is friendly but not for a rush day.

average food over priced at an average venue in a very nice location (big park ideal for a longish walk). The food was microwaved and not the best. Tried to explain but Spanish is poor and the English there was limited

El Molino del Rio is a charming countryside hotel situated in the picturesque setting of the Rio Argos Canyon (Lower Cretaceous), at the foot of the Mountains Sierra del Gavilan, a protected natural area in the northwest of Murcia, and near to the Natural Park of Sierra Espuna. Most of the houses that make up this flour mill were built in early 1500. Care has been taken in keeping the original structure and decoration from the 16th century, offering the ambience of a boutique hotel.
We had dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent. There are several different areas where you can eat inside and outside and the venue would be a good place for a romantic meal. Dinner was a series of artfully presented small plates from the salad to the desert. My favorite was the carrillada (pig's cheeks) that was so tender it melted in your mouth. We also had a reasonably priced wine from Rioja and Jumilla and a cava from Alicanti. The staff was very friendly and the server spoke some English. We all walked away full with big smiles on our faces. We also had the 5 E buffet breakfast the next day. I also think their craft beer is good. It is more full body than typical Spanish beer. The Molino del Rio is a charming place to eat for any meal.

We are centrally located in Caravaca de La Cruz, with modern design and friendly atmosphere we offer the customer a variety of dishes of typical Spanish food, mainly traditional tapas, we also include a special menu where you can taste the best and most known dishes of Cuban cuisine. You can not leave for another day our cocktails are made by Cuban barman who will treat you.
After all the top reviews on here, we had high expectations. Don't get me wrong, this place was spotless and the service pretty good.
BUT!
The food was no better than many, many menus del dia that we have had here in Spain.
This place is only open at lunchtime on Monday through to Wednesday so we had no chance to try an evening meal but if this the best that caravaca has to offer, then goodness knows what the rest are like.
Good, honest food, well presented but nothing to rave about!

We live in Caravaca and yesterday was only the second time we had eaten here although only 5 minutes from our house.Situated in the main tourist square Plaze del Arcoat the foot of our famous castle and with tables out on the sunny side of the square the restaurant has recently changed owners and what an improvement. Now with a fantastic new ,diverse menu.Still traditional spanish of course but obviously with a new fantastic chef.
We chose the menu of the day and for 12 euros was excellent value, we loved it.Wide choice of each three courses.I chose sardines which were cooked to perfection and my wife chose Turkey breasts which were succulent and delicious. The service was fantastic with efficient, friendly witresses.,if anything a bit too fast as each course arrived before we had finished the first, but not a complaint.Absolutely first class,we will be regulars here..don´t miss this restaurant when you visit our beautiful city.

When you visit Caravaca don't miss this fantastic, small cosy, stylish restaurant. We discovered this resto-bar which is only 5 minutes from our house by accident. The first couple of times when we decided to try it the restaurant was full (always a good sign) so we reserved a table. It was a big surprise.Situated in the town centre but in a back street next to the central Gardens the menu is a mixture of Argentinian and Italian cuisine and at very reasonable prices. We had a tapas mixture and every dish served by the attentive staff was brilliant. We ordered two glasses of house wine and were pleasantly surprised with the huge glasses of Taus (a delicious red from Jumilla )The restaurant serves full menu and tapas selections and is becoming very popular judging by the amount of people sitting inside and out.We will definitely be returning soon.

This restaurant offers a good selection of food in comfortable surroundings with great service. If you're looking for something other than traditional Spanish cuisine then this is the restaurant to go to. The bonus is that this restaurant is always open and you can rely on getting a good meal, unlike other restaurants that open when they feel like it, which is extremely frustrating!

This is not a place which is going to knock you over with their range of food, but what they have is well prepared and well worth it. It's attractively served and tasty, available with a decent selection of wines and served by people who know their stuff. Not cheap, but tasty.
