I had the opportunity of meeting the owners, and they are extremely friendly. They worked to make me feel satisfied in the portuguese way of hospitality. The food feels homemade, and the portions are generous. Overall, even the simplest dishes are good, and the ambience is very friendly. Great choice for the price range.

I always come here to get my fix of sea food when visiting my English friend who lives nearby. Compared to the cost of prawns in England this is such good value and beautifully presented. If you choose the seafood platter and still have room for more they will keep bringing you any combination of shellfish until you have had your fill. Friendly staff, too, and a good wine list.

This restaurant toke me back to the time when my family would vacation
in the 60's and 70's. This place is old world service and menu. Unlike most
eateries in Portugal you get to choose from a variety of dining rooms,
Some large, others almost private. The menu as a large variety of quality meals
with an excellent wine list. The location of this place is a bit difficult to fine.
It has it's own parking area in their courtyard.

Went here for lunch while on business in Cantanhede.
Staff is very friendly, explained the different dishes of the day, gave recommendations and was very helpful.
Food came quick and was OK. Not typical Portuguese cuisine, but very tasty Salisbury style steak with pepper sauce.
Overall a very nice experience; would go again.

If you like leitao don't miss this place, cheap and good, hard to find but it's worth it! The only issue is the parking, hard to find a place.

Starting with the flawless service. I called first since this was a holiday:
Are you open today? Always, every day!
What's your time limit for serving lunch (I was arriving late)? Whenever you come!
After arriving, we were two and I spotted a nice table for four:
Can we sit here? Of course, wherever you fell comfortable!
And so on...
We started with an assortment of Portuguese cheese. They had 26 different varieties! We could only try 9...
A good Alvarinho wine.
Fresh, grilled fish.
The best chocolate mousse I've had in a restaurant.
And a home made ginginha to finish.
Truly amazing!

It is rather small but with a nice décor. The wife of the owner cooks for guests and has a special feeling for the correct amount of steaming, salting and spicing the sea food. After I recommend a beef with fried eggs because it is a tradition of Portugal. Take care with the quantity of beers that you drink and pay as you go so that you can make and idea of what you're drinking.

I have been to this restaurant several times in the past few years. The quality has been the same ever. It isn't a restaurant like all the others. Rice, potatoes, sprouts, are made like granny would do it. I had "Negalhos" (goat stomach filled with meat), "Arroz de Cabidela" (chicken rice made with wine and blood) and "Cabrito" (male billy goat cooked in the oven). The wine was a Bairrada wine from Cantanhede that was suitable for the astringent effect that was needed over strong flavoured dishes. I strongly recommend a visit to this restaurant.
