After a long hot day of errands and chores, my husband and I thought Village Wines sounded like a nice evening. We were not disappointed! We started off with the calamari which was perfectly cooked with a delicious dipping sauce that was sweet but had a nice kick. Our server Tyler was great to recommend a speciality drink - the house Mai Tai (which was excellent - I had 2!) thanks Tyler! He also recommended the center cut filet for my husband and the crab cakes for me. I was teetering between the chipotle shrimp and the crab cakes, so I went with the crab cakes. The crab cakes were delicious - served with asparagus - and were a very nice light dinner on a warm evening. My husband's filet was cooked to his request and he was very pleased with it! I talked myself out of the s'mores dessert cup (I looked delicious though!). Thanks for a great dining experience!

Fantasy cupcakes has a nice variety of flavors for a small bakery. We bought 6 (all different) and they were all very good. My favorite overall was the Buckeye cupcake but the best icing was on the salted caramel cupcake. They also have cookies, ice cream, dog treats, and gluten-free treats.

Went there for a quick sandwich. Which wasn't quick at all! After I ordered, I heard one male employee telling his manager he was sick & needed to go home, they kept the conversation going for quite some time. Then I watched as the manager played with her hair, repeatedly! I was about to say, just give me my money back so I can go, but she did finally make the one sandwich that I ordered 15 minutes prior.

This was an expected find in Canal Winchester. Brew Dog is a brewery, that also happens to include a restaurant. Beers are awesome. Food is very good. They have some pinball and video game machines for the kids (of all ages). You can even take...MoreHi Ilbuckeye, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us at DogTap Columbus. We're happy we could meet your expectations!

After having dinner at Skyline, we stopped for dessert at Dairy Queen. The best dessert to get is the Reese's blizzard in a waffle cone dipped in chocolate! It's a recommended dessert that anyone should try!

My husband and I stop in Shade’s fairly often for lunch. Today’s visit was another great experience! The loaded chips were “loaded”with plenty of cheese sauce, bacon, green onions and diced tomatoes. My husband’s BLT was loaded with bacon - he gets these pretty often. My Philly steak sandwich was so huge, I ate it the a fork and knife! Everything was delicious and our server Lauren was very attentive to the speed at which my husband was drinking his Diet Coke. This is a local establishment that is run with care - it is always busy and the service is always great!

I have been to this restaurant twice in approximately one year.
Highlights:
Menu is refreshingly unique.
Food is very good quality. We had smoothies, beef burger and mac and cheese (unique and excellent), southwest wrap, salad and dessert. Everything was excellent.
Service is attentive. I actually felt sorry for the server who had to deal with the food coming out very slowly and had to break the news to us that they were out of multiple items. Not her fault, of course. See more on that below.
Location in downtown Canal Winchester is a plus because there are little shops to visit before or while you wait for a table.
Some things they could work on:
For a Saturday lunch, I would not expect a restaurant to be out of multiple things.
Being out of one item is understandable but they were out of soup (if homemade, okay, but still...), one of desserts (salted caramel cake) and FRENCH FRIES. The server mentioned that the french fry order had not arrived. This restaurant either has a bad supplier or they lack some basic organizational planning in not ordering soon or often enough.
Also, it took a very long time to get our food. I don't necessarily want to feel rushed and know that good quality food may take a bit longer but a late afternoon lunch should not take 90 minutes.
I hope this constructive criticism is considered by the restaurant. Some of these same issues were present in my previous visit but were actually worse this time. I would like to return to this restaurant but am hesitant to bring friends until the issues are addressed. The food here is excellent but you need MORE than good food to get return customers.

Canal Wigwam is a traditional American Diner with daily specials. Our decor is a fifties diner look
First time visitors today. Saturday around 10:30. You seat yourself and we walked right in and sat. They were busy but not full. Service was fantastic. Like. Really good! Makes me wonder about the reviews who say otherwise. Food was good basic diner grub. Price...MoreThanks for the great review. Weekends do take a little longer because we cook everything from scratch. We are constantly trying to improve the turn times on the weekends. Thanks for trying us out and hope to see you again.

One of the people in our party of four called up to order a couple of pizzas for pick-up after a day of seeking craft brews in Columbus. There was no wait at the drive-thru window, even though the parking lot was packed, and the pizzas were ready to go when we arrived.
While I'm used to New York pizza, and often don't like pizza from other places, these pizzas tasted great. The pepperoni pizza had plenty of crispy pepperoni pieces on it, and the "all the way" was loaded, although I wish that some of the toppings had been more cooked through, It was good eating, although I'm not accustomed to the strip-style of cutting pizza here, I'm much more used to the wagon-wheel cut, with triangular slices.
I'd gladly order here again,

Met with parents at the Winery. Extremely nice, outdoor sitting with a gorgeous view of a lake. Menu is limited but server told us their daily specials. Pretzels and cheese were amazing! The cheese had a similar taste of a Stilton cheese dip. Parents had Chicken Salad; very tasty; they enjoyed it. We had the lasagna, salad and breadsticks. Excellent!!!
