The food here is fresh and the service is excellent. You can't go wrong on this one. The food isn't expensive. I recommend this one sincerely.

After a long journey east from San Juan we came upon El Fogon de Abuela. Needless to say, we were starving and the El Fogon did not disappoint. Situated across from the sparkling and thunderous surf of the Atlantic, the El serves up authentic and aromatic Puerto Rican fare sure to delight every travelers palate. We started with frosty Mojitos one coconut, one passionfruit. They were refreshing, strong, and just what we needed. We went on to order the homemade crispy cream cheesy jalapeños rellenos which were served with a spicy aoli and some killer chicken quesadillas with sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. If that was not enough, my sweetie ordered the gargantuan Porkchop (the largest we had ever seen)! served deep fried with white rice and beans. I ordered the camerones (shrimp) with delectable yellow rice and beans. We topped this off with their famous Nutella mudslide which was frosty, sinful and delicious. The owners were super friendly and attentive- we were shocked to see these other reviews! Our experience at the El Fogon de Abuela was one of the highlights of our vacation and we are sure to return.

Stopped here at random to break up a drive and what a great surprise! Beer was ice cold and the tapas were just what I was wanting. The bartender Jennifer is beautiful and talented and is very patient if you want to practice your spanish.

New restaurant or new building. Great local family atmosphere. We had steak. Chicken and pork Fajitas. We were loaded with peppers, onions, rice, etc, much more than two people can eat!! Best Pina Colada I've ever had, ever! It was very reasonably priced too. Service was great. Nothing bad to say! I very highly recommend!

Right in highway #2 (main one of Puerto Rico) offers great food, especially for lunch. Music and bar too.

We went here last weekend for my mom and aunt's birthday. My mom had seen the reviews and appeared to be excellent if not awesome. When we got there must say the place is very pretty, it has a nice ambiance and the staff was cordial and provided great service. We ordered house drinks which were really good, particularly the coconut mojito, which had real coconut in it. Afterwards we got a sample that included fried fish, croquettes, chips, and fried cheese. The all had good flavor, but nothing stood out as being out of the ordinary. For the main dishes I got the ribeye steak with a wine sauce. It had a good flavor but was cold. The coconut rice was in fact great. There aren't a lot of places that do this dish and is really good there. My mom got something with cod fish, it was WAY too salty. My aunt got the 7 kind mofongo (Im not a mofongo lover) and it had really nice flavor. Finally the dessert. Guava Flan - good. Overall it was a nice experience not extraordinary.

We spent a week at a beach house close by this restaurant, and of course it became our favourite place to spend some evenings. We arrived Camuy late in the evening and even the kitchen was closed for the evening, they fixed us a lovely snack meal.
The service is very good, and the Mojitos are excellent.
The last night, we ended up in a big birthday party with live band on stage. We didn't see any other tourists than ourselves and as Norwegians we got a lot of attention from the locals and the band. We had really good fun that night and this is a place to go, both for relax/enjoying the scenic view or have a great party.

I have been here on at least half a dozen occasions. The service is OK, since you order from pre-served entrees and not from a table menu through a waiter. The quality and taste of the food is excellent. Their variety is ample. There is a lot to choose from. Their prices are very reasonable. The restaurant floor is ample, clean and very well illuminated. there is even a playground and activity area for children. Parking can be tight at times. Will continue coming!
