Excellent service, present but not overwhelming. Fine ingredients mixed with wisdom and cooked to perfection. Excellent clams with green sauce and fantastic fish on Spanish sauce. Hails to the chef.

In an idyllic village with a claimed record number of protected chimneys, the restaurant on the national road has a pleasant ambience, calm efficient service, very varied menu and a absolutely fabulous wine list both in terms of Alentejo wines and pricing.
Our favourites were the presunto, deer stew and the chocolate mousse; and the fact that they opened the restaurant early to allow us to watch an important football match!

We arrived at 1pm and the restaurant was empty, but the waiter told as that we could just seat on the Terrace. We seated outside and then, other waiter told us that the kitchen will open at 1.30 pm. Ok, we wait, at 1.30 pm we ask solomillo and carrillera, was good. We also asked another tapas, but this took almost 40 minutes. We asked the waiter about the delay, that told us, that we must wait more 20 minutes, but we could give up, without paying the last tapas. Was cold in the Terrace, we leaved the restaurant, after one hour, the tables inside were empty, with a lot of people waiting for table. Strange and bad service.

We just had a dinner at this restaurant. While other restaurants are very quiet, this one is almost full.
The food quality is very good and the standard of service is very professional. If you opt for fine dining your first time visit to Badajoz, this is the place you should not miss.

We had lunch in this restaurant which is set in one of the back streets of this lovely little town, not far from a beautiful park/garden with benches, Fountains, a small lake and a resident swan.
The building was an old Adega (wine building) with brick arches to the ceiling. It was clean and the owner was pleasant.
I had a traditional Portuguese dish of pork pieces in a bowl with pickled vegetables and chips and my husband had slices of Turkey (very tender) and chips. We shared a plate of salad. The wine was very good value at 1.85€ for a half litre of house red and it was very pleasant. We had half portions which were plenty, and a sweet each at 1.50. The total bill was 17.35€ without coffee or bread.
We will certainly visit this restaurant when we are next in the area.

Just a regular restaurant. If you happen to be in the area and need a place to eat, great, otherwise, not worth changing your route.
We went on a holiday and the restaurant was really full (it's also not that large) and we had to wait for a while. Staff is not particularly efficient and the food is average. I am sure your could find better restaurants in nearby cities.

I stopped here for lunch after Reading the reviews here on Trip Advisor.
It is a small local cafe situated on a side street in the town centre, the Ritz it is not but it has a nice atmosphere and is very popular with the locals.
Service was friendly and my order was taken promptly. Complimentary Olives and Bread where brought to me within minutes.
I ordered roast chicken and the house red wine followed up by a fantastic espresso.
It was all fantastic and it came to an amazing 10€ !!!!
Give this place a try you will not be disappointed!

The view of the Guadiana river and the city from the restaurant is incredible, best view of the city.
The food is really good and well presented. I recommend you try their black rice.
Their wine menu has a very well thought selection. Some of their wines I haven't seen anywhere else.
The service is what is expected for a 5 star hotel, great service that shows up when you need them.
After eating you will feel happy and lucky enough to go downstairs to have fun and win at their casino.
