If you have a chance to enter before the case runs out, you can sit in the dining area and soak up an unofficial museum like collection of train memorabilia. You may even have the privilege of watching Al's miniature train travel around the suspended railway encircling the room.

While travelling through the area, we checked into a motel and asked the desk clerk for a recommendation for supper, as we were just a little later than the time most folks eat. After learning that ethnic foods did not interest us, we were directed to Dino's Diner.
Three chicken dishes were noted on the whiteboard as we entered, and after being seated with menus, our server arrived. We took the opportunity to ask him for any recommendations when he delivered our drinks, after perusing the menu. He told us that while it wasn't for everyone, the liver & onions was really good. Unfortunately, I cannot report on any other entree, as we both selected the liver & onions, and the exact same 2 sides.
It was great!
The plates each contained 2 big slices of perfectly-cooked beef liver, with plenty of onions on top. The liver was fork-tender and delicious. (Oh, and the sides were good too.) And in order to not mislead readers, I verfied that this is a menu item and not a daily special. I also wish to mention that the telephone number for Dino's is different from what is listed at the time of this review, (816/632-4455), and an update has been submitted to TripAdvisor. (The diner's website has the current phone number.)
We travel this route every once in a while, and will definitely stop in again if it's anywhere near meal time. Maybe, we'll even try something different, as we have every reason to believe the rest of their offerings will be just as tasty.

Located in a truck-stop type gas station, the place is very crowded. It's hard to even get to the counter. The young lady working the B.R. counter was unhappy and unfriendly. I felt like I was bothering her by ordering a sundae and then paying more than $5 for two small scoops of ice cream and some toppings. The ice cream tasted good.

OK....You never know what you may receive when you order out, right? Well I asked for a delivery suggestion from the hotel attendee. She suggested Tub Creek BBQ.... fine. I placed an order consisting of a pit ham sandwich, some breaded schrooms and some cole slaw. Oh my God!
Great smoked ham sandwich, next to none hand cut and breaded mushrooms and a to die for unique cole slaw......
I just HAD to call the restaurant to thank them for as great meal.
Enjoy.....oh....they are NOT CLOSED..

The clerk was not unfriendly, but not particularly welcoming. And although the building being old is a particular concern, the lack of repair and filthy floors, windows, and tables was totally unacceptable. My husband ordered a grille mushroom swiss burger and it was honestly nasty tasting. However, my small mocha frappe was quite tasty. We won't return though, i can't stand a place that is dirty.

The restaurant was recommended by the desk clerk at the Day's Inn. We went unannounced and were seated very quickly. This was a bus load of almost 30 people. We were served quickly. My waitress was Jenny. She was friendly, efficient, and explained anything we asked.
There was lots of good food and the price was right. I had the stuffed crabs. There was so much food, I could barely finish it.
We liked the restaurant so much, we booked to come back the next evening.
The 2nd evening was a Friday night and busier. There were at least 4 functions going on and it took longer to get our food. We still got lots of good food. The waiter that night was Patrick F and he did an excellent job. He kept us up to date on when to expect the food and made sure we had our drinks refilled.

This was our second time here, as were in town visiting friends. The food is very good and so is the service. I especially liked the fajitas I got- I think it was called the Pollo Feliz- chicken, shrimp, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and cheese. We will definitely be back!

We were in Cameron to visit relatives. One evening, we decided to go out and try McCorkle's. We had heard some good things.
Overall, this will be a positive review. My wife had the Chicken Quesadilla and loved everything except the salsa. She asked me to try it ... my response was "This is Pace Salsa." Exactly ... Otherwise, the meal would have been great!
I had the Reuben sandwich. I'm particular when it comes to Reuben sandwiches. I have to say that I would go back and order that sandwich again and again. The fries were crisp on the outside and flavorful. Absolutely no quibbles there at all.
One suggestion ... make your own salsa. It really isn't that difficult, even in Missouri.
We're from southwest Utah, so we know salsas. And, we have had plenty of great homemade salsas.
The other "oddity" about Cameron. We wanted to make fresh guacamole. Here, no problems finding avacados. Difficult to find in Cameron, that's for sure!

Had stopped in last October, and experienced an average "truck stop" breakfast. Was driving by again so decided to grab a bite there. During the winter they had put up a beautiful new building next to their gas station complex, Walking in I was disappointed to see that they had furnished the place with the tired old furniture from their original restaurant. They do have a wide variety on their menu, some plates looked great, I had a southwestern omelet, which arrived covered by some disgusting velvet cheese sauce. Next time I will avoid that dish. It seems strange to me that the owners would spend the money to build a new facility and then fill it with worn out furniture, still not have real cream for coffee drinkers, and have a menu with food that does not reflect the new surroundings. On the other hand, they are a half step above Toot Toot's

Get there early to have lunch, their small space fills up quick. Great cheeseburgers, good chicken sandwiches, and various daily specials. There are a few things which could be improved upon, but otherwise a good little Midwest diner (or is it a dive?).
