Camden, Maine is proud to call itself the "Jewel of the Coast." A beautiful seaport town with a harbor full of sail boats, Camden has been used as the setting for so many movies, from Carousel to Peyton Place, that it is what many people think of when they think of New England. With a series of annual festivals running all year round, including the US Toboggan Championships, the Summer HarborArts Juried Arts & Craft Show and Windjammer Weekend, there is always something to do in Camden.

This is my second visit to Fresh....a truly wonderful restaurant...located in the beautiful Seacoast village of Camden. It has a very welcoming atmosphere and reminds us of a place one would encounter while ambling through the European countryside. Reservations are a must...even off season...it is busy. The food is wonderful and everything is indeed "fresh". On our 1st visit, we enjoyed melt in your mouth Atlantic Halibut....& on our most recent visit we could not resist....the tender & very tasty lamb tenderloin. The Chef/Owner has a deft artistic touch & it is obvious he knows what he is doing. The sauces here are light and delightfully awaken your taste buds. The polenta pomme frites are amazing. Very creative! This restaurant is a keeper and we predict the Chef will continue to delight diners repeatedly. Service is very good and accommodating. Wine list has a good selection. Of interesting note, there is both a bar & an open kitchen concept. Trust us...the Chef keeps a watchful eye on not only the kitchen, but the dining area too. The charming & gracious Hostess is a co-owner and she maintains a well run dining room. If you are reading this review.....you can't ignore our enthusiasm for FRESH.

Lobster roll was okay: had a similar tasting roll from Panera Bread for cheaper. For $20 you can a small lobster roll, excellent french fries and excellent cole slaw. Outdoor seating available. Very friendly service. Very popular place: take your order at the window and wait for your food. The lobster was good: just not the best.

The menu on the board has no prices. There is a reason. Two iced cafe lattes cost us $14. I wouldn't pay this in Midtown Manhattan let alone a remote seaside community in Maine. Worse, THEY SERVE IT IN PAPER CUPS which forces you to drink it quickly or else the cup gets wet and the paper pulp gets INTO the coffee. They say they do it to 'save the environment'. Tell that to the trees they cut down. Iced coffee should NOT be served in paper cups. This place is for trust-fund brats. Their attitude showed their disdain for a customer's hard earned money.

I stopped here for lunch because I didn't want to deal with the parking in Camden. Service at the counter was friendly and fast. The food was delicious. The onion rings were great. Shains of Maine ice cream is an added incentive to come here. Eating outdoors at the picnic tables is pleasant.

I love Camden Cone and no visit to Camden is complete without coming here. They serve Round Top ice cream and the variety is quite impressive. If you feel like splurging go for a waffle cone or even a sundae. Absolutely yummy.

While visiting close friends in Camden we had the chance to stop by for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and service. The flatbread was cooked to perfection with crust and toppings as you've imagined in the best pizza parlors on the east coast. Service was quite friendly and we were so taken that we came back for a second day during our stay. Authentic and good quality make this a must stop for any visitor to the area.

My husband and I stayed in the champagne suite for three nights prior to Christmas with other family members who were also staying in suites at the hartstone. The suite was very comfortable, and had everything we needed, including a great gas fireplace in the living room. We enjoyed that the suite was separate from the main in but in Close proximity to the main inn. The inn offers a 3-course breakfast, which was very good. We would stay again if we are in that area

Fun and inventive ways to eat lobster. Great for a couple of mid-westerners who couldn't get enough lobster while in Maine! We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful late July evening.

A birthday recommendation by a friend for my husband whilst visiting the area.Although a lovely evening and the views were stunning of Rockport Harbour outside..we opted to dine inside but scored a window table!..watched the light change, the sun go down, and had a few photo moments before checking our menu and ordering.
An attentive waitress, who obligingly took our photo..the food was great, the service really good- so a great evening!..only negative would be when the inside dining area fills up- the noise levels go up..
