The food is very good at Carmela's. The atmosphere is small town, small eatery. Our only issue was the temperature in the facility. We were there for dinner on a single digit cold night. There are two small COLD rooms. Had we know they don't turn the heat up we would not have eaten there. Looked at thermostat and it was on 65. Could not wait to leave we were so cold.

It was recommended to us to stop in and have a bowl of cream of crab soup. We did and were were NOT disappointed at all. We would definitely recommend this place. We would stop here again when traveling in the area. Friendly waiter. Plenty of parking and seating. Family friendly!

Friendly gastropub serving local foods creatively prepared by Chef Patrick Fanning. Nice craft brew selection. Plus sidewalk seating.
Our family really enjoyed our dinner in downtown Cambridge. The General Tso cauliflower was excellent, tasted so much like sweet and sour chicken! The smoked Mac and cheese was super decadent, and sandwiches were tasty. The cocktail list was creative and refreshing. Reservations are recommended as there was a large crowd the night we were there.

Great hangout type of place, with an extensive list and variety of brews. There is often live music on weekends, and fun celebrations of newly created brews.
I enjoyed a cool glass of nantucket nectar, and a lovely steamed hot dog. There is plenty of other pub grub....that just happens to be my favorite.
You can taste multiple types & tastes of beer, and go home with a growler of your fav.

We are a locally owned and operated neighborhood crab house and restaurant that has been operating since 1986. We have evolved from a seafood manufacturing and crab picking facility into a full service restaurant, crab retailer and caterer with a recently added beer garden. We strive to give an authentic Eastern Shore No-Fuss hospitality experience to our guests and feature as many locally procured items as possible. We have recently been featured on The Food Network, PBS's Americas Heartland, CNN "Somebody's Gotta Do It" and Dogfish Head's Dogfish Dish. We are located directly on route 50. Less than a mile from the Hyatt Chesapeake Resort.
It doesn’t look great from the outside, but once through the door I was hooked. A beautiful, querky, ocean themed restaurant as fresh as the food they serve. I went for fish and chips - yes I’m british. The cod was perfectly cooked, the batter...MoreThis is awesome! Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. We have been working on that fish and chip recipe for 7 years to get it perfected! We are big fans of Leo Burdocks by the way.

Water's Edge was a special treat. We sat near the fireplace for dinner. It did get a little warm but it was okay. I had the Rockfish. It was sweet and flaky and the rack of lamb that my wife had was tender and cooked perfectly. We went back on Sunday for their breakfast buffet. My wife loved the crab Benedict, my mother in-law can't stop talking about the fresh smoked salmon and I enjoyed the omelet station :).
My family and I were at the Hyatt Chesapeake for Thanksgiving Weekend. We love coming here for so many reasons. The grounds are magical. We love walking our dog along the paths, throwing the football on the open field. The indoor pool with in and out hot tub is a treat.

The Cambridge diner has a great selection in their menu for all meals. We tried French toast, eggs and pancakes and all were delicious and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and efficient.
