Any restaurant which puts olives, breads and aioli on the table and then proceeds to charge separately for them on the bill loses a point in my book. Having said that, they were actually very tasty even if they weren't complimentary!
The restaurant is in a lovely setting with oil burners lighting up the garden and pathway.
We both opted for the sirloin steaks which were ginormous and very tasty. They were served with jacket potatoes with sour cream and a medley of mixed vegetables.
Drinks were on a par with other places in the area and the service was excellent.
Booking is essential especially if a table is required inside rather than Terrace.

Whenever we are in Cala we always go to Marinas for breakfast. Excellent service and well worth the money. Always good value for money. The menu del dia is always a good choice in the evening. Well worth the visit

Turned up and looked for a free table to be told by sullen waiter that he had people for the table, end of conversation, no offer to find us another table, we were obviously an inconvenience. Should have left at this point. Hung about at the entrance looking at menu and sullen waiter indicated a table for 4. Old man, presumably Pepe came to hand out menus, made my daughter feel like an idiot when she tried to order our food and drinks in Spanish, so kind.
We had pork ribs @ 14 euro that tasted like a supermarket ready meal. They do tapas full portions at 7 euro and half portions at 4 euro. The sardines without bones were nicely presented and delicious. The half portion of baby squid in batter were nice. The whitebait was mediocre.
Group of 4 young people came in and were ignored by the waiters so they went to table next to us which was free as people had just left. Sullen waiter then came to table totally blanked them and plonked a reserved sign on the table. One of the girls tried to ask how long it would be to get a table. ignored her and they left the restaurant with the girl saying something in Spanish. My daughter said that she'd said "How kind" sarcastically in Spanish. This place is next to a busy and beautiful beach so they don't need to try too hard and they don't. Have not seen so many miserable waiting staff in one restaurant at one time. Sullen, indifferent, rude. There must be nice staff in this place as there are plenty of reviews about nice staff but they are obviously not in on a Monday and the ones that did turn up clearly suffered from "I don't like Mondays" syndrome. This place is also closed on a Saturday. They don't take cards so you need to pay in cash. They won't be getting any of my cash in the few days we have left here. Guy opposite us was remonstrating with Pepe as he said his change from his bill was 5 euro short, presumably Pepe reckoned he was due a tip. We didn't leave one, awful customer experience.

We had the nachos with guacamole and Mexican dip and the garlic prawns for starters followed by the suckling pig and the seafood tagliatelle for our mains. It was all delicious, particularly the suckling pig which was served with lyonnaise potatoes and green beans.
The house wine at €9.50 was good value and the whole bill for three courses each including the wine and a vodka and Coke and a pint of beer was €64.
Our only disappointment was that we could have been anywhere in the world (as opposed to a typical Spanish restaurant) and the restaurant was full of English people!!
Would we go back? If we were here for longer we would definitely return on a Saturday for the suckling pork which was up there with best we had ever tested.
The staff were great - friendly, courteous and efficient.

The waiter was lovely although seemed very busy, bless him.
We ordered the sangria, which was lovely and only €7.50. The atmosphere was lovely, both times we visited. Very Spanish, reminded me of my trips to Spain to visit my family when I was little.
We really wanted to eat here but it was always very busy! Probably because the food and drink were delicious! We will have to visit again!

Best Ice Cream in the Port. Had been going to the Kiosk for years and was sad to see it go so was really happy to find that they had moved here and it's every bit as good. Great choice of ice cream and sorbets, friendly staff and a good price, may it long continue.
