My husband and I came for the early dinner, all you can eat buffet Friday for the barbecue. We had delicious, hot food in the past but on this occasion the food was just warm. In fairness to this restaurant, they had a few conventions going on so they were very busy. We seem to think that when they first opened for dinner, some of the food may have been left over from lunch. Not too sure but this was the first time that the food was not piping hot. Service was excellent as usual. Food was good but could have been better. We did not try the desserts since we don't eat sweets. There was a lineup prior to opening and a "mad rush" to get in with the children shoving their way through. Parents even though you may be on vacation, please control your children especially when there are seniors around. A safety precaution. We will be back later on in the season when it's not so busy. But usually a pleasant experience.

My wife and I had heard a lot about this place from friends so we were in the area one day and tried it out. It was mid-afternoon and we weren't even sure the place was open, there was no one there but a few workers. The place seemed clean and we both ordered a burger and I ordered onion rings. The food was good but it was not as it had been described to us. The burger was just a normal sized burger and I was expecting something more like "Red Robin". Even though we were the only ones there the waitress did not ask about refilling our drinks until we were through.

My wife and I look forward to coming here at least once a year on our boat to spend a night or two at the motel adjacent to the restaurant where we enjoy a catfish dinner and then a great country breakfast the next morning.
Service is always excellent and the marina is very relaxing and easily accessed from the main channel of Kentucky Lake.

I had the pulled pork plate lunch and would have to say the pork was bland...actually very little taste. I was very disappointed since it had really great reviews. The beans had pieces of chicken in the mix?? Never experienced that before. Probably won't eat there again.

Fantastic experience like food and service used to be. Awesome food followed by coconut cream pie to die for. All for an unbelievable price served by Cindy who was just outstanding. If you get anywhere close don't miss it!

Good quality B-B-Q with friendly folks. You can sit indoors or outdoors. Beef, pulled pork, chicken - all tasty and made right there. You place your order at the counter, pick it up at the counter and then seat yourself.

I've been going to this restaurant for over 12 years now. While I don't have photographic evidence, I swear it has been the exact same menu for all those years. Now, that said, I think anyone could find something they like and it will be acceptable or better quality. Of note, in a town with few, they have a full bar. I go there about once every other month and have never had a bad experience. Some of the better wait staff in the area makes it all that much more one of the few in town I'd recommend.

Met with friends for dinner and was not impressed with menu choices and seemed pricey for choices. I had the Fettuccine shrimp and must say I have had mush better. My wife had a mushroom Swiss burger and requested medium rare and it was cooked nearly well. Had decent flavor but over cooked.

This restaurant has great fish and has been voted as best fish restaurant in the area several times. They have plate lunch and dinner selections that includes vinegar and mayo slaw, hashbrown casserole, green beans, fried okra, cabbage, black eyed peas and the list goes on. Prices are in the $7-9 range for plates. Be sure to leave room for dessert because their mile-high coconut creme and chocolate pies are a great way to end the meal. The owner comes around to the tables checking on your experience.

When We booked Buchanan resort, we really found a gem! They have everything including the oak tree restaurant which Completely took care of all our dining needs. They have a great menu, outdoor seating area and we treated ourselves to a poolside ice cream cone every day with the creamiest soft serve . At times they appeared understaffed but they never closed until everybody was served and happy. Everybody was happy!
