Just passing thru on a slow Sunday. Town seemed almost closed down for holiday weekend. Restraurant is very close to cell/radio tower as you try to find it. I had the "Dude" chicken fried steak sandwich. I have to say the tomatoes seemed like farm fresh picked. Super red and sweet which adds to a sandwich in my opinion. Food was cooked fast. Husband had the steak finger dinner which apparently is the choice for many others. 2 of the 4 families had the steak finger fry combos. I think most people stop in for their ice cream treats as we did. Nice to have both meal and treat afterwards. Husband had craved peanut parfait for months and I had the butterfinger blizzard. Great treats as always. Service was friendly so I wanted to mention since it had a negative rating for service and length of time to be served. Fast and friendly so maybe just an off day before. They have the outdoor children's playground also daily specials from 2-5. See photo. Monday thru Friday's only. Open 7 days a week till 11 pm

Fine dinning restaurant with entertain chef cook in front of you big of food not on prices.
Traveling on long road trips, I am always weary of location. We were tired and it was 8:30 pm on Sunday so I knew we had to eat now before restaurants closes. I turned into police station to Yelp nearby restaurants. This Japanese steakhouse was right in front of us but I couldn't find it on Yelp. I decided to give it a try since I didn't want to drive around looking for a place to eat.
It was a slow night and the waitress was very nice. The chef was entertaining and let my daughter cook an egg. The steak was a good cut of meat. The fried rice was too salty but we managed to salvage it with my son's plain steam rice. The soup tastes like salt water with one lonely mushroom - no miso or seaweed or anything else in it. The side salad was decent. They were generous and threw in a few complimentary shrimps.
I would definitely recommend this place for weary travelers. It is safe being next to police station and a good value for what they offer.

Tired from the road and not liking the reviews for any place else, we settled on this restaurant. And we're very glad we did! Waitress was very sweet. Food was really good. Garlic bread was awesome. We each got something different and we all enjoyed our did. Portions are large but you can ask for a half order. No bar but it's okay to byob. We'd go again if ever in the area.

My family was passing through on a road trip, and the hotel complimentary was famously awful, so we looked for other options. Tencha's was a delicious alternative to the hotel breakfast.
I had the Pam's Special omelets, which was perfectly cooked and served with delicious hash browns and refried beans. My dad had the chorizo, which he praised highly. We got tortillas, which were homemade and fresh, with the omelets as well.
All in all, a delicious breakfast with wonderful service and a great atmosphere.

Cub's is family owned and operated, always very crowded, and offers great hamburgers, onion rings, fries, burritos, and other breakfast and lunch items. Friendly and fast service is lacking here, probably because of the constant flow of customers for the great tasting food. I waited over 30 minutes for my take-out hamburger [no available seating] and finally asked if they still had my order. Offering great tasting food, but nothing else.

It's got good sandwiches. They are also pretty fast, and pretty pleasant. It's a better choice than the restaurant across the street.

I went here for dinner. The service was prompt and friendly. My pizza was ok -- the sauce and toppings were very good, but the crust seemed sort of doughy. Not sure if it was the ingredients or if it needed to be cooked more.

A very basic menu but the food is always fresh and always dependable. I think they serve some of the best Mexican food I've ever ate. The tortillas are always fresh. For Brownfield they should be rated number one

We went in during the lunch hour and it was crowded. The young girl suggested sweet onion sauce on my steak sandwich and I tried it. AWESOME! The restaurant was clean and the clerks were fast and friendly.

You would expect more than 3 actual steaks on the menu. Sure they have chopped steak (a hamburger) or chicken fried steak, but to only have 3 actual steaks, but having 9+ options for chicken? Should be the Platinum H Chicken House.
Now, on to the steak. I have are here for the last 2 years, and this was the first time I ordered the Sirloin. It was cooked perfectly, but it lacked any seasoning. No salt, no pepper. The dominating taste was from the char marks (for the record they were beautiful). Simple salt and pepper would put the steak into the category where it would be worth the price.
The sides were pre-battered okra and green beans from a can, both served in Styrofoam bowls.
This place would be "THE FIRE" if they used fresh cracked pepper, and some Himalayan salt and maybe a little bit of clarified butter on the steak.
