This place was packed on the Columbus Day weekend however don't let that stop you- the food was at our table quickly- it was very good- we had mussels and the crab roll with the dinner combo. The blueberry cake everyone raves about- was ok...we're blueberry farmers so it takes a good recipe to impress- this one could have had more berries and been moister!

We are closed until Dec. 5th!<br>El El Frijoles, Mexican Food is a California-Style Taqueria in a converted barn in the woods. We serve delicious mexican food made from the freshest, local and organic ingredients, in a fantastic family-friendly environment. We are open all year, but if you are coming in the off-season, you should probably call us or at least check our website/FB page to see if we are open!
A one of a kind find spot, worth the drive off beaten path. Fantastic fresh Mexican food (think fresh corn tortillas, homemade salsas....street food...not heavy big Mexican dinners) Come ready to hangout as the grounds have lots of games. It's the kind of place you want to come back to - even if it's 2 hours out of your way!

Fine Dining, exclusively Organic or Local ingredients, Irish Pub, Bed and Breakfast. Open year round, daily in summer, 5 days a week November to May. Fresh Fish, 7 page wine list, Aged steak, our own desserts, Guinness on tap and local beers on tap. Pizza, burgers and nightly specials in the Pub...Full menu upstairs and down.
Was asked by the owner how the food was. Told him it was satisfactory, as it was. Was told that he has had 44 plus chefs in the decade he has been the owner and that he just cant find anyone to do a quality job. Strange thing to say to a customer.

House in a fully renovated 1823 Cape in Blue Hill, Maine, Arborvine opened its doors in July of 2000. Family owned, Arborvine has consistently been offering fresh, locally sourced and thoughtfully prepared fare for nearly two decades.
This was our second visit. Everything about the meal was wonderful. Kate, our server, steered us well, and the various appetizers and entrees were amazing. Everyone of us put our forks down after the first bite and just sighed. This is such a great experience that you need to work into your season.

Tasha's Take out, Driving Range and Mini- Golf Home of the world famous blueberry Ketchup, blueberry burger and blueberry meatball sub.
Tasha's is a Fast Food / Ice Cream / Mini Golf and Driving Range kind of place. We stopped just before closing time for ice cream. I was not familiar with Gifford's Ice Cream but was impressed with the choices. They have Maine Blueberry, Moose Tracks, Deer Tracks and more with a local twist as well as the usual suspects. We all thought the ice cream was terrific. Can't comment on the food but several folks were picking up food to go, they serve burgers, salads, sandwiches including lobster rolls and such. It is not really a sit down restaurant though they have an enclosed dining room if you choose not to eat at the picnic tables. Nice spot on the hill too!

This is a new, nice general store. Not a lot of character, but it is really nice to have a store in town, instead of having to drive 10 miles. It's on the higher end side, but i like having the organic options and given the remote-ness of Brooklin it seems like the prices are okay. I bought some groceries and also coffee, muffins, and egg sandwiches for breakfast, all of which were great. There is a large selection of stuff so it seems like a great option for Brooklin.

My husband and I have been vacationing on Deer Isle for many years now. We've discovered this small restaurant over the bridge. It offers many food choices along with alcoholic beverages. The building is new and somewhat uninviting. I did enjoy the nautical theme. Larger windows might had been a better idea allowing more light in.
I ordered the haddock burger was very moist but disappointed in the amount of haddock. Other places on the island serve a whole filet of haddock and thinking a little expensive. To be charged $1.00 for American cheese is ridiculous. I would expect to pay that for the other cheeses just not this one. My husband had the prime rib which was ordered med well and came out very rare. Tried to send it back with the waitress but she seemed bothered so he decided to keep it. Maybe it was off night and we may try again another night.

This lodge/inn and restaurant has recently re-opened under new management. It is located right on the Eggemoggin Reach in Brooklin, and has WONDERFUL views. You can sit inside or on the deck in warm weather. On a recent Friday night a friend and I went their to dinner at 9th Wave Lodge. We enjoyed our meal, the ambiance, and Scott Cleveland's piano jazz so much that I returned with my family for breakfast the next morning! They are open to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday!
First, let me tell you about our dinner experience. My friend had a hamburger with homemade chips, and LOVED it...said she would be very happy to have it again! For an appetizer, she had chowder which she also rated as wonderful! I had their Cottage Pie...delicious! My appetizer was their homemade cheese spread served with crackers and homemade chips. I was also extremely satisfied! Also, their prices are very reasonable.
Breakfast was also wonderful! My husband had eggs, bacon, and toast...his requested over-medium eggs were done to perfection! I had french toast and bacon, and my son had blueberry pancakes and bacon. Everything was perfect. We also had coffee, and juice. The entire bill came to about $21.00 which I think is very reasonable. Right now this is the only place open for breakfast in Brooklin, and I highly recommend that everyone give it a try!
