Brookfield is an affluent town in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States, situated within the southern foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. The population was 16,487 at the 2010 census. The town is located 43 miles (69 km) northeast of New York City, making it part of the New York metropolitan area. Brookfield was first settled in 1710 by John Muirwood, as well as other colonial founders including Hawley, Peck and Merwin. They bartered for the land from the Wyantenuck Nation and the Pootatuck nation who were ruled under the Sachem Waramaug and Pocono. The purchase of the southern portion of town involved the current municipal center where sachem Pocono then had his village and lived in an enormous palisade along the Still River. Eventually, when the town was settled, it was first established as the Parish of Newbury, which incorporated parts of neighboring Newtown and Danbury. The town of Brookfield was established in 1788. It was named after the first minister of the parish's Congregational church, Reverend Thomas Brooks.

We visited CT for a week in December and ate at this diner 3 times. I found the service to be great, the food was good, ( I tried the po troast at night anf it was tender, and delicious and the portions were huge}. Prices here were reasonable.

We've visited Peachwave a number of times since they've opened. The selection of flavors and toppings is great.

A friend of mine introduced this place to me to meet up for coffee on a cold winters day. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this cozy place and a hot drink (chai tea latte). The prices are more affordable compared to Starbucks up the road and it feels more cozy inside. The staff is always friendly as well.

Very attentive wait service. Nice drink selection interesting mixology. Burritos are h-u-g-e, Osso Bucco was slow cooked beautifully and tender. Shrimp Veracruz (Cameron's Flores traditional dish) was very good with the shrimp tender and bacon crisp. Like the outdoor searing option, but it's very close to the road and the setting is directly on the parking area.

Mediterranean Food
The grape leaves at Lebanese Cuisine are the BEST we have ever had!!! Many of the other dishes, including the hummus, Zaatar (mini "pizza" made with Thyme) and Spinach Pie.
The owner/chef is so impressive- happy, cordial and generous (gave us free tasting of his delicious vegan apps). It is obvious he takes great pride in his food. He graciously accommodates special diets, if you just ask.
While I didn't have time, the market attached to the restaurant looked like it has some different and authentic Lebanese foods. I glanced over and saw lots of desserts and pantry full of packaged foods.
The prices are very fair, though the atmosphere is lacking. Still, I love that you can BYOB and so I don't expect much. Oh, they do offer wine glasses and ice if you just ask.

Have been a loyal customer for years. Excellent food....cannot get thisd stuff anywhere else as good as this. Very simple interior so if you are looking for something fancy or upscale then this is not the place. But if Vietnamese food is your choice for the night then this is it

Stopped for lunch, the parking lot was well maintained and clean, and the store was also spotless. We found staff to be exceptionally helpful and polite, clearly they are well trained. It started pouring rain when we were inside, staff came around asking if people owned various cars because the windows were open. Also had staff ready with large umbrellas patrolling the parking lot so they would not get soaked on the way in or out. Overall, I was blown away by the level of service, especially in a fast food type of restaurant. Oh, and the food was great too!

First time there since the reno. Looks nicer. Food is good, not great. Caprese salad was a step above most local places. Side salad was old-style iceberg and tomatoes. Husband enjoyed his lobster ravioli. My Chicken Marsala was a bit too sweet, but otherwise good. The side pasta was a bit harder than al dente. Bread was good. Overall, not my first local choice which would be Armando's in Bethel, but decent.
