Bracciano is a small town in the Italian region of Lazio, 30 kilometres (19 miles) northwest of Rome. The town is famous for its volcanic lake (Lago di Bracciano or "Sabatino", the eighth largest lake in Italy) and for a particularly well-preserved medieval castle Castello Orsini-Odescalchi. The lake is widely used for sailing and is popular with tourists; the castle has hosted a number of events, especially weddings of actors and singers.

We had our meal outside on a balmy Saturday night and without a reservation. This restaurant appears to be popular as it filled up quickly after our arrival. The starter was very ordinary and overpriced at Euro20 for two. However, this was compensated for by the excellent sea bass for our main course. The waitress was very helpful and only charged for the wine consumed and not the full bottle. As in most Italian restaurants, the choice of Deserts was very limited but the homemade tiramisu was very good. The food menu in general was neither extensive nor innovative, but the fact that all tables outside were occupied is testimony enough. With these limitations in mind, it may be worth another visit.

Fantastic restaurant in great setting below the castle. The waiters were very knowledgable of the local produce , were friendly and very accommodating . Food was fantastic the pastas are a generous size as well so might be worth sharing ! Reasonably priced would highly recommend.

Off the normal tourist trail, this is a family run pizzeria that fills up with the buzz of families and friends. The menu is huge and the food is lovely; but what makes it good is the atmosphere - no fuss, no frills, just good food and very friendly people. We always go when visiting friends in Pisciarelli.

This place is temporarily closed due to renovation.
Great service and fantastic food! The baked sea bass was amazing. I asked my 7 year old what he thought as we went as a family. "We went to ristorante del castello and it was very tasty! I had the most pasta I have ever eaten, and so did my 5 year old brother. I and my family were sad to leave the restaurant."

Situato a circa 300 metri dal centro commerciale Bracciano
Over the last few years, I have been introduced by Braccianese friends to the restaurant Ai due Leoni which is located on the road from Bracciano Due to Castel Giuliano. It is a little hard to find at night being found only by one sign at the restaurant entrance on the left hand side of the somewhat dark road to Castel Giuliano, but the food, service and local Braccianese ambiance is well worth the fairly short drive from the centre of Bracciano.
It is very good value, with the hosts always suggesting specials on the night. It is a family friendly restaurant with lots of families present, together with tables occupied by young local couples or young people. I think it is probably one of the dying class of genuine Italian restaurants close to Rome serving basic but wholesome Lazio regional food eg. bistecca, miale. There is also ample off street parking which is an added bonus, rather than worry about a space in the town centre when wishing to eat.

We came to this restaurant having read the reviews and it was amazing. Beautiful surroundings, the outside Terrace backing on to the castle. Nice atmosphere. Great staff and most importantly, excellent food. We had pizzas and fresh pasta. The tomatoes from the families garden - you could taste the difference, beautiful. Th house wine, Sangiovese - beautiful. We will definitely come back....

Very good ice cream but not so friendly. It's good during winter as the inside is spacious. Outside only few places and not nicely placed. It's anyway worth for ice cream.
