An excellent restaurant. I had hake which was delicious and the amount was fantastic. If I had Known how much fish I would have I may have missed the superb calamari I had for starter. The meal for two including aperatifs and a bottle of Sauvignon cost about £35. Great value. Setting and ambiance also excellent.

With an extensive & expansive menu, The Grillhouse delivers. The service is second to none. Although the setting is a little dark + dated the food is not just delicious but what your expecting. Not OTT on prices but not cheap. I’d certainly recommend it...MoreThank you for your lovely review. We hope to see you back again soon :)

I ordered a toasted tuna mayonnaise Sandwich. An easy thing to prepare, you would think, but it was memorable by being very, very ordinary. The accompanying salad was not great, and it's not that easy to mess up! I waited for quite a while to be served and to get the food and the bil, and they weren't even busyl. So, no, I won't be rushing back there.

Enjoy a fresh cupo at Father in Braamfontein. It's simple and yet beautiful in design , and great to see the inner city , alive again. Remember it's only coffee, ( no decaf ) yes only real good coffee.

The service at this wonderful boutique hotel is outstanding - I don’t believe I’ve ever received such good service. It was a birthday dinner for my daughter and we were greeted with a most delightful chap with the biggest smile, wishing our daughter a very happy birthday. He showed us into the reception where we were greeted with even more birthday wishes and then on to the restaurant where the reception continued.
The entire hotel and restaurant are very tastefully decorated. The waiters are very attentive and not too stuffy. They boast a good wine list. The food was outstanding which I did with the wine pairing suggestions.
We had such a wonderful evening and I highly recommend Clico. I honestly can’t find any fault and commend them for getting everything perfectly right.

To creating a platform for free creative expression that will allow musicians and their audience to share unique and unifying experiences. To supplying musicians with the most suitable setting and staging so as to perform in the most comfortable and inspiring space in Johannesburg. To creating a respectful, socially balanced, community focused environment for our audiences, our supporting members, our staff and partners. To contributing to the development of the performing arts in our city.
The Appleton mojito was a huge hit for me. The husbands found the whisky slightly pricey. The waitor was friendly and the chefs were prompt. We all enjoyed our meals but we were too early for the Jazz. If you're going for the music don't go as early as 7pm. The food was tasty even though they didn't have a fish knife.

We were staying at the Protea Parktonian and wanted to eat at places other than the hotel.
This spot popped up and we decided to check it out.
Great venue, awesome vibe and great staff - attentive and helpful.
Food was excellent as was the choice of beers.
