My husband and I belong to the Rotary Club in Boquete, Panama and we have recently hosted 2 sizable luncheon events at this restaurant. We found the owner, Anayansi and her team members to all be easy to work with and extremely professional. Since we had to limit our menu choices I can only comment on 2 items but both the Chicken Neapolitan and Corvina au Grill were delicious and accompanied by mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The restaurant is located centrally and the grounds are especially lovely with lush vegetation and beautiful flowers all around. I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

A group of 7 of us dined here while traveling in Panama for business. The atmosphere was formal, yet comfortable. The food was memorable, but the grounds were breath-taking. One of our travel companions knew to arrive before our reservation to afford us time to enjoy the natural beauty of the property before dinner.

Panoramic views, a crackling fireplace and an outdoor wooden deck beside a garden overlooking the Palo Alto River, sets a cozy and uncomplicated atmosphere to enjoy a fabulous meal. We serve down to earth, bistro-style, comfort food! We believe the enjoyment of food is a fundamental part of life.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent ambiance. We came on Monday when they had live music. We had the ribs, I'm not sure whether it's Panama or The Rock that has a strange perspective on ribs. They were tender, but if you want a fatty mess, have the...MoreDear Mr. Larry: Thank you very much for taking the time to send us your comments and recomnendations, we will share them with our chef and staff to ensure that both, our dishes and service, are always satisfactory. Il Pianista looks a bit suspect from the outside. Located right next to farm-worker housing, and down a short rocky path, one might be tempted to drive on by, but that would be a mistake. Guests should park on the shoulder of the road and walk down the short slope to the entry stairs. Once inside, you will be transported to an idyllic spot with very fresh and well prepared food. There is a lovely waterfall, flanked by blooming flowers of every sort, right next to the restaurant. They have wisely taken advantage of the view with the table arrangement and even outdoor lighting for night time viewing. It is charming and adds a lovely and romantic component tot he dining experience.
The owners live above the restaurant. He is from Sicily and she, Brenda, is Panamanian. It is a family affair with their talented sons sharing duty between the kitchen and the wood-fired pizza oven.It is a warm and welcoming place. Return visitors are treated like long-lost friends.
On our last visit we devoured the excellent Ensalada Pianista and the Eggplant Rollatini appetizer. The salad's balsamic dressing, redolent of shallots and sun-dried tomatoes, i so good I was tempted to buy some to take back to our vacation house for later enjoyment. I ordered the Pasta with Camarones (Shrimp) and my only regret was that I could not eat it all. My sister ordered the fresh tuna special and it was without a doubt the best tuna I have ever eaten in a restaurant. The preparation was light and innovative, unlike anything I have ever eaten before. The tuna was cooked PERFECTLY and we quite literally wiped up every speck of sauce with our third basket of homemade bread.
The pizza, ordered with spinach, mushrooms, onions and olives, was also excellent. The crisp, wafer-thin crust was adorned with just a hint of tasty sauce and just the right amount of house made cheese. The fresh toppings were allowed to shine and we left not a single crumb.
There are less expensive places to dine in Boquete, but there are few that are any better.

The menu is extensive, the coffee great and Olga hugged us like we were family although this was our first visit. The portions are large. I had a cheese, tomato and spinach omelet made especially for me to avoid gluten in the kitchen. I'm not certain about the Panamanian tortillas. Although they are made from corn I was not able to get a clear answer on the oil used to fry them. I was concerned about cross contamination if the oil was used to fry other items. The inside of the cafe looks to be a cross between Swiss mountain and small town decor. Funky but comfortable with wood tables and wood plank ceiling in an outdoor covered patio setting. Good value.

Wow, really perfect food and drink at lunchtime. And this place was really hopping, too. You order at the counter, then go find a place to eat inside or outside. Kinda funny because inside is pretty much outside, too. I had a chicken Sandwich that was done in a panini style and the chicken melted like butter. It was just phenomenal. I can't wait to get back to Boquete and visit again.

Homemade food made on homegrown vegetables, home raised chicken, duck and Freshwater fish.
A lot of love is put into each dish, and the atmosphere is great.
Managed to take 3 meals within 48 hours and enjoyed them all.

True Italian gelato loved by both expats and the locals. I think they need a warning ⚠️
however, on the coffee gelato because for me it is addictive. If you prefer other flavors
they've got probably 9-10 flavors so you too can find one you love. Such a treat!
