One of the most difficult challenges of moving from the south and it's delicious cooking to Southern California is missing legit Southern cooking. Today we discover Coops in Lemon Grove and let me tell you IT IS TRUE SOUTHERN COOKED BBQ!! The picture shows you the amount of meat you get on your bun, the thickness of the bun and your table has multiple options for as much sauce as you want to put on it. The corn bread slices are HUGE!! The sweet potato pie was scrumptious too and it was the best way to close out the meal. If you are in the area, make sure you check it out!!

My sister was in town so we tried this place . It’s small and snug feels like your at breakfast with everyone The food portions are very large we shared two plates between the four of us. The food was delicious.Even though the gave you a lot you didn’t walk out feeling heavy or sluggish. The service was very good and helpful. I would definitely return and recommend

Whenever I want to impress anybody, I come straight to Hanand Harry's for the fruit pastry. It is a showcase piece for any party or meeting or business coffee; and it tastes so great! I have not tried all of the other wonderful looking pastries and cakes because I cannot resist an occasion to eat the fruit tart... fresh and beautiful

I work at an elementary school nearby, and teachers love this place when we have a slightly extended time for lunch. The food is excellent particularly anything involving carne asada. I also particularly enjoy the shrimp burrito, but I have enjoyed everything I have had there. And my workmates have enjoyed their entrees very much as well. The selection is surprisingly huge. They are quick, but without sacrificing quality.

Great hole in the wall find! The food here was delicious! Many different options for tacos and burritos! We tried the fish taco, shrimp taco, oyster taco and the sting ray taco. All were great! My husband has a burrito and it was pretty big. Prices were good too! We loved this place so much we went back a second time. This place gets quite busy during normal eating hours. A few seats inside the place and a few outdoor tables. You can just take your food to go too. We stayed at an airbnb near here and took our food home for dinner the second time. We would definitely go back again if we were ever in the area!

Live in NM, saw the restaurant featured on Anthony Bourdain and went there while in the San Diego area. My husband and I travel quite frequently and search for great and unique eating places, Romesco blew us out of the water, it was right up there with other extraordinary restaurants across the country. I started my evening with a tamarindo martini that is made with fresh tamarindo pulp. For our meal. we went for the Cesar Salad, and tapas, every dish had distinct flavors that provided us an ultimate eating experience. We sealed the dinner with their flan, made with piloncillo (natural brown sugar) . Authentic and Amazing!
Lastly, our eating experience would not have been fabulous without our attentive server Mauricio. We wanted all the details on the Cesar salad recipe as well as his recommendations for our first time experience.! Even though the place was packed he treated us like we were his only customers.

What can I say, this place is awesome!
I arrived, was greeted, sat and had water and warm fresh bread in less than 5 min!
I ordered a Cesar, bruchetta, and tortellini. The salad was spot on with fresh i ingredients, a proper proportioned dressing to salad ratio. And the dressingwas very nice!
The bruchetta was toasted crispy with some nicely chopped tomatoes with herbs and topped with cheese. The flavors melded nicely, the bread was toasted just right to stay crispy... a great appetizer gor sure!
The pasta was hand made. The chicken and cheese filling was wondrous. The sauce with peas, and mushrooms just brought a nic comfort flavor to the whole dish.
I finished the meal with a nice cup of custard, that was very good then to find rum soaked biscuit on the bottom.... uuh yum!,
I will be going here again!
