Bonifay is a city in Holmes County, Florida, United States. Bonifay was given its name from a prominent family that had a brickmaking factory in Pensacola. Frank Bonifay, the man behind the town's name, bought a stake in the Louisville and Nashville Railroad, now CSX. As W. D. Chipley connected the rural Florida Panhandle, along the way he came up with names for certain communities the railroad bisected.

Since I am gluten free, I can no longer enjoy these delicious nuggets of goodness. However, my family still does. According to them, they have the best donuts available anywhere!!! Donut Land provides donuts to the majority of the high end restaurants and "donut places" on 30-A.

Castaway Seafood has become our new favorite seafood restaurant. Despite being a forty minute drive for us, the seafood and service are the best to be found anywhere. We had the Boat Trash Platter and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The wonderful staff are focused on friendly service. Despite the building being rather small, the owners have perfectly allocated space for the comfort of their customers. We plan on making this a twice a month outing and can't wait till our next trip.

Ate there 12/04/2017 around 4pm. Right on main highway, restaurant had plenty of parking in front of well identified stand alone building. We were seated in a booth immediately by friendly server who helped us with our selection from their multi-page menu. Several other couples were enjoying their meal but a dozen or so other booths were available. Table and floors were clean. No unusual smells. Food arrived fairly quickly
We split an order of 2 spring rolls ($4.99) which were pretty average. Next we both had their combination Pho (noodle soup with sliced beef and meatballs). Wife had a regular size bowl ($9.99). I upsized mine (add $2.49). No alcohol so wife had a hot jasmine tea ($2.79) and I got an ice tea ($1.99). Our cost before tip was $34.50.
About half way through our meal, the manager stopped by and asked us to pay at that time. Probably because our server was going home, but we thought it a pretty bush league move. Unfortunately, we were not impressed.

First time eating here. Only negative is that OnStar will bring about 1 mile short of actual location. If coming from I-10, turn West on Highway 90 and it's about a mile down on the left.
Excellent food. Quaint country, "Cracker Barrel" type decor restaurant. Everything we ordered and I mean EVERYTHING was cooked to perfection. Included pics of my order only. Price for a group of 4 people was $60 before tip. But it was worth every penny.
If traveling to the NW FL beaches via I-10 (Panama City Beach, Destin, etc) you'll definitely want to stop in and eat. Also have homemade fried pork skins that make a good snack while driving.
Open Tues-Sat currently according to door signage.
Awesome BBQ experience!!!

The place is beautiful even though we order to go. The food was good and fresh, good portions too. We were two adults and two teen girls that love Mexican food and got full with less than 40 bucks (not drinks).

This location offers a full salad and pizza buffet during lunch hours on weekdays. The salad bar has a good variety of veggies and dressings. The pizza bar offers different varieties of pizzas, breadsticks and pastas. There are also cinnamon sticks and, on occasion, desert pizzas.
The food quality is what you would expect at a Pizza Hut. They offer different varieties of crusts and toppings. If you ask your server, they will usually put in a request to the kitchen for your favorite to be put out on the buffet.
On the day we visited, the restaurant was crowded and unable to keep food on the pizza bar. It was frustrating to realize each time I got up to check to see if more food was put out, it had already been wiped out by other diners.
What a shame. The server told us they had a women's group that came every week in the same day but they did not have enough staff to cover the crowd. Get with it Pizza Hut. I like to eat here.

Normally, Waffle House restaurants are just known for their consistent food and reasonable prices. This Waffle House is on the northeast corner of Son-in-Law Rd. and Waukesha St., just north of I-10. It is set on top of hill by itself, so it has a bit of a scenic overlook. There is plenty of parking. The staff was friendly. The prices were reasonable. The food was hot and tasty.

Unexpected find... the deli offers breakfast. You can get a breakfast bake, bacon, sausage, biscuits, grits, tomato gravy, sausage gravy, coffee and iced tea. The food is always hot and fresh because this store sells so much food every morning. Everything can be ordered separately. The prices are more reasonable than a fast food chain and the service is always quick. I actually rate breakfast higher than lunch but that is only because I don't each much fried food.
They also offer fried chicken of all kinds along with potato logs, biscuits and sides during lunch and dinner hours. The little garlic and cheese biscuits are really good. They have recently started offering pizza to go as well.
This is a convenience store but the deli is an unusual find. If you want to get something and go, this is a quick option.

I saw this mom and pop shop on Yelp and wanted to share here on TripAdvisor. The breakfast options in Chipley & Bonifay are limited so Sissy's stands out as a place you can go to get an inexpensive and home cooked meal.
Don't expect gourmet. If your expectations are simple food, cooked well, for a very good price, then you will not be disappointed!
I order the biscuits and sausage gravy with a few strips of bacon. My total bill was $4.01!!! The biscuits were not too thick and fluffy, they were slightly more dense than usual but still very good. The gravy is a basic gravy that could use a little more flavor but no complaints.
Three stars out of five. I'd go again because there isn't too much else in town, the staff is friendly, the prices are great, the food is good but not knock your socks off great.
