While staying in the Waycross area we used TA to choose a restaurant near our hotel and since Hog-N-Bones was close and rated the #1 restaurant, we went there. From the reviews we expected a fast food style with an order-and-find-a-seat restaurant. My wife ordered the ribs basket and I ordered the ribs and pulled pork basket. We liked the sauce selection at the table. The ribs were tasty and tender. The sides were fantastic, especially the sweet potato and pecan casserole which was more like a pecan casserole pie! It was very very good. The staff was helpful and checked on us often and our food came out in a timely manner. They do not have alcoholic beverages.
This restaurant was what we expected and was very good.

We were traveling through Blackshear and looking for a place to eat. Since we were staying at the Comfort Inn, We turned down a main street and saw this DQ and decided to eat there instead of McDonalds or Burger King. We ordered burgers, and much to our surprise, they were very good! The buns were soft and fresh and fries were hot and crisp. We were very satisfied with our food and the restaurant itself. It appeared clean and well kept. We were happy to have went searching for someplace different to eat in fast foods. Will definitely stop in again.

While evacuating from Florida, on our way to Augusta, we stopped in Waycross and discovered Wong's Palace, nestled across the tracks along Knight Avenue. At first approach, we knew it must be good, simply by the totally packed parking lot in front. The menu is stocked with fantastic choices, all at such reasonable prices, and the portions are huge as well as delicious.
Paul, the owner, is originally from Hong Kong, but learned his culinary skills while working in New York in China Town. All the dishes are excellent.

My husband and I shared the 14 oz rib eye steak and it was SO tender and juicy! Could not have been better. Keep it up Otter Creek! We will be back!

A friend and I stopped for lunch at this family restaurant, where you place your order at a counter, fill up your provided cup with ice and soda or other beverage, and have a seat in a booth or at a table. In a few minutes, your order is brought to the table, and you chow down with the local crowd. Nothing spectacular here, and nothing promised; just decent family food with meat and vegetables. We would stop here again if we pass through Blackshear during lunchtime.

I have been heading into Georgia more and more taking photos of farm land, Trains, old buildings etc etc. and I was on my way home when I stopped in Blackshear, Ga for gas and something to eat. I drove past Carter's the first time then I turned around and stopped. And said why not. I ordered my fried chicken to go a two piece but was given 3 piece's of fried chicken French fries, and baked beans and a roll. I got a xtra large Orange Crush to go this all came to $8.01. I then drove over to the park to wait on a train and eat my very late lunch. Which I truly enjoyed the meal. I will be back some day.

Our Georgia relatives took us to this gem.....the best BBQ sandwiches anywhere! It's located in back of a filling station....but it is a local favorite! The cheeseburgers are delicious too! We also had their fried onion rings....they were perfect!!
