My sister brought us here since she knew we really liked German style food. She did not disappoint. I ordered the remoulade (spelling?) and my wife the hunter schnitzel. Both were very good and they serve their red cabbage (which is made by them) cold. I never had it it that way and it was very good. We all ordered a single bowl of Pickle soup to try since it was the soup of the day. Almost wished I had ordered it as my main course, it looked like standard german potato soup, but it had dill and pickle pieces in it. It was goooood! I love pickles but as a soup? but it did work so give it a try if they have it when you visit. The staff was very friendly and happy to chat and answer questions. Prices were very reasonable. I know where I'm going for dinner on the next visit to sis. Oh almost forgot the desserts are really good also.

A convenient location in Black Diamond just off 169 in front of Palmer Coking Coal Company, next to the 76 gas station. Nice service and well made coffee. A great, and more quick, option than Starbucks.

Pro tip - the small business complex where this stand is located only has one entrance/exit, somewhat removed from the stand itself. Decent coffee and good service. An okay stand appropriate for the area.

Great variety of gelato! The people are friendly and accommodating. I will definitely go back and send my friends there, too!

Sweet Necessities is located in the heart of Enumclaw and offers abundant dessert options from coffees, to teas, to ice cream, to candies. They also sell local wines, honey, jams, art cards, and humerous cards. But this is no ordinary novelty shop. Their caramels are their specialty and the candy counter is filled with numerous delectable options, which they will box for you. The wall of teas and coffees can be bought in bulk and packaged. The ice cream counter offers numerous flavors for cones, or they will make sundaes or whatever you fancy.
We enjoyed our visit but not the ice cream, which was not very goid. When we return, we will go for a candy option instead.

The food was really good, the drinks great. The staff seems....understaffed. The poor waitress could barely breathe and the dining room was full, she was the only one waiting tables. But the menu is really great, with a good variety of healthy options. If you are not in a hurry this is the place to hang out. Very cute interior.

The Black Diamond Bakery is an institution in this area and has been in business for many years. Their breads are fabulous and the cake donuts a favorite of ours. We always stop when we're in the area. Ample parking and easily wheel chair accessible.

I've had their pizza before, and it's great. My husband has had a sandwich here, and thought it was very good, too. Today we had an early dinner here, and ordered the lasagne. It was good, but not really special. It came with an odd slice off a French roll, not even toasted or warmed up. For what we got, it was on the pricey side. I think I'll stick with the pizza from now on.

I have been many times now to the Maple Valley Hop Jack's and every time has been a great experience. Everyone works super hard to make sure you get exactly what you want. I am a bit different as many times I ask for "no bun" hamburger, specifically served a special way on a bed of lettuce (cutting down on carbs!) and they make it every time perfectly using the shredded iceberg lettuce I specify! Recently I took my son out to dinner for his 44th birthday and his first time there he said afterwards that his meal was terrific. He got specific about the ingredients. His teriyaki burger was big and delicious. He was very impressed with the quality of the hamburger Mine was great too. As others have said "consistent" "attentive and friendly" "clean". I think it fits it's "niche" nicely - family friendly salad, taco, burger, etc. big menu local restaurant (I have been to the one in Issaquah too) Not a fancy pretentious place or a truck stop diner. NIce.

Big dinning room. Good teriaki and burgers.
Good people and consistant service. Lots of customers, workers on lunch and familys, in for a good lunch. Bright and clean.
I wish they had the daily Seattle paper on the table as the once provided. 'Guess I'll have to bring my own.
