John and Evelen have run The Smugglers for some time now and have the place for sale as they try to start retirement back home in the U.K.
None of us regulars want them to stop and quiz night tonight signalled exactly why. John hosts a great quiz each Tuesday evening as Evelen prepares the food in her tiny kitchen
The three is us had starters; main courses of gammon and fried egg; sole; and tarragon chicken followed by Eton mess; sticky toffee pudding (2) and this was all washed down with far too much alcohol as we enjoyed four hours of feasting and fun.
John orchestrated the quiz with his usual deftness and once again nobody won the yacht or the holiday and yet again left with a bottle of his contraband wine! We did fabulously well in the quiz, managing to finish higher than last for the first time in years.
The bill was 117 Euros but we walk from our home and that's our excuse for too many drinks. Go along and enjoy the fun.

Ate here last night and it was super. Nice welcome breeze on the Terrace of this small restaurant with a fabulous view. Small menu with specials as well. Truly beautiful food that exceeded expectations. Beautiful hake bites so fresh and with a light batter to...MoreThanks Juliet, greetings

We loved Binibequer beach and the restaurant on the beach is a great place for an ice cold drink quick meal and ice creams. They only take cash so do come prepared. It’s busy but we were greeted by friendly bar staff, orders to be placed at the bar for food and drinks.
My fried hake was gorgeous, so fresh, tender and succulent, absolutely loved it. My daughter had fried chicken and chips which she enjoyed. Not a huge menu but very quick service considering the amount of people and size of the kitchen.
Gorgeous views of the ocean all around, no frills tables and Seating areas. We had a great meal there and staff were very friendly with us. Would definitely return there.

Restaurant was very busy when we arrived so we were hopeful of a wonderful evening, however, restaurant owner treated us as a nuisance even though there were empty unreserved tables. Food was overpriced and average. I love fresh fish but was sorely disappointed and why put chips with everything! Owners son could be described as attentive if you like being touched and flirted with in an inappropriate way. He made it clear he wanted 'after hours' contact! Yuk! My sister ( who is single) was appalled especially because he was wearing a wedding ring ! The other staff were lovely and seemed embarrassed. The guy serving drinks was great and the children were made very welcome but one visit was more than enough

Amazing sea food at reasonable prices
During our two week holiday in Binibeca Nou, the Bini Inn became our preferred restaurant and we visited there four time as a couple and once with our family. Each time we had a most enjoyable meal. The roast pig , lamb chops and steak were very succulent. We booked our table on the top Terrace with sea views and lovely sunsets.A complimentary drink always rounded off the evening.A restaurant we would return to next time we stay in the area.

Went for dinner last week. Went about 8.00pm and found a table easily but by 9.00pm it was packed, mainly by Spanish people. The menu is large if a little confusing but we stuck to sardines, squid and prawns and enjoyed the meal. Nothing wrong with the service at all. Good food, reasonably priced. Would recommend if you wish to try the local food.

We had visited this restaurant two years ago and remembered having a really enjoyable meal so were looking forward to returning. The food this time around was all good, no complaints but not as outstanding as we remembered.
The service was also not as welcoming as many other restaurants in the area, again nothing wrong with it but we enjoyed a nicer atmosphere in other places.
It seems to be very busy though so worth booking if you are keen for a particular day or time during your stay.

In our two weeks to Binibeca recently, we visited Sa Naveta twice. The food is delicious, and very generous portions. The lasagne and carbonara were just wonderful, the pasta was fresh and it was all homemade. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient. This place is slightly more expensive than some of the other restaurants surrounding it, but honestly it is worth it for the experience, the food and the view, and something a little bit different to the other places in Binibeca Vell.

Situated on the coast road this restaurant offers simple fare at a reasonable price, although the wine was a little more expensive than we have been used to in this area.
It was very busy when we visited Sunday evening and service was slow as a result, although several apologies were offered for this.
Its convenient for where we are staying but I'm not sure we'll be back in the rest of our holiday as there are better places in our opinion in the area.

Cheeses. Pates Spanish meats and salads. This is a wonderful place to enjoy an evening relaxing and enjoying Spanish food. Run by Clara and her son the service is exceptional. And the lemon or strawberry cake has to sampled because you'll never taste anything as good.
