The Cherry Hut was established as a roadside pie stand in 1922. The Krakerfamily used it as a means to distribute homemade cherry pies made from fresh cherries out of their orchard. Later, in 1937, the Cherry Hut moved to its present day location on US 31 in Beulah, MI. Throughout its long history the Cherry Hut has always been known for its homemade pies and jams. Owned by the Case Family since 1959 The Cherry Hut continues to supply smiling faces by serving food and shipping cherries year round. A Northern Michigan Tradition Since 1922.
I come here whenever I'm in the area, which isn't often .Kind of an unusual way of ordering, with different entrees that can be ordered dinner style (with soup, salad, dinner roll, cinnamon roll, entree, vegetables, potato AND dessert) or lunch style with fewer options. We had cherry BBQ pork dinner style and were stuffed full. (And we like to eat a lot!) The food is good as is the service. Near the Platte River campground.

This is a small restaurant so even though we were there late in the season, we had about a 30 minute wait. My husband enjoyed his chorizo quesadilla and my Cabo Salmon was amazing. Matt was extremely courteous and his service was excellent. I loved their ships and homemade salsa and was served the strongest skinny margarita have ever had! :)

A good place for a bite to eat when you're in Beulah. I was at the beach on Crystal Lake and was getting hungry so I came here for a quick bite to eat. It's busy here in the mornings and early afternoon for good reason.....much of the things here are made on the premises. I enjoyed my Greek Pasta Salad and sandwich.

Great ice cream so had to go twice. The coconut was quite good and of course chocolate. The second time I had coconut ice cream with chocolate syrup and so it was like having a mounds bar. A place to try if you are in the are

In a previous review from years ago, I expressed concerns as "better as a takeout".
Because my standby, the Crystal Cafe is now struggling, I found myself giving Papas another shot.
First off, the grilled cinnamon roll is a MUST. It is simply the best.
The wait staff was right on top of things and consistently good over several days.
The food was hot and tasty.
It appears that they have their staff working again and it shows.
Very much upgraded my view of this place and I've been back several times now.

One of the few eateries open year-round in this lakeshore town, the Crescent serves breakfast and lunch offering sandwiches and soups in addition to a mouth-watering array of baked goods. I stopped in for just a donut and coffee at about 1pm. I thought the baked goods selection was a bit depleted but had no difficulty finding something to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Overall, I would say it is a bit pricey: mine cinnamon roll was $1.65. But the bigger cost was a cup of coffee: $2.75! And I'm not even a coffee drinker :-( Anyway, it was a nice treat.

Very unique brewery with lots of variety of brews. Fun spot with curling lanes and lessons on certain days. A local favorite

Tried their outdoor dining on two occasions. Both resulted in long extended waits for service. Food is average to good. Best is their corn beef sandwich which is very large.

ComFort Food I. a Comfortable Setting.
We had breakfast at Platt River Inn and we were full all day! Fluffy scrambled eggs, large pancakes and a half plate sized omelet! The staff were very efficient as well as helpful giving us ideas for our last day of travel. The owner sat with us giving her suggestions and answering our questions about how they came to Honor. Great start to our day!
