The dinner was arranged to recognize the successful completion a project and I had not previously heard of this restaurant. Turned out it was an excellent choice. Formal and yet still relaxed the atmosphere worked well. None of the group even looked at the menu as we all went with the 'special menu of the day'....5 courses of mostly seafood served with imagination, some amazing flavours and yet avoiding the common mistake of overcomplicating dishes. The wines were also chosen by the restaurant and each one worked perfectly. A truly great evening.

Bistro-restaurant is unique situated near 'De Schelde'. There is a cosy veranda and children can play in the garden with plenty of toys. The quality and quantity of the food is excellent and children are allowed to make noice. A must if you want to go to a restaurant with your kids.

Ruime parking.
Went here with frieds during Belgian restaurant week with a special affordable menu, superb food, nice wine arrangement (they are serving a lot),superb service very friendly and not posh at all.In my opinion one star for the food, one more for the setting and the third one for friendly staff.

we were there with 3 people(daughter and friend) and everyone was very happy with the food served ..fresh and tasty .. I took the rye and this was really very fresh served with mushrooms, bacon and hot tomatoes .. the other two persons took a bouillabaise and meatballs tomatosauce with fresh french fries ..the fries were excellent, crispy at the outside and softly inside ... the menu is very short but I like this very much so you are sure that everything is fresh.. the only negative point is the price .. expensive but for the quality you receive it is acceptable .. go for it and taste Freek !!!

Superb dining. Absolutely worth mentioning!!!
We celebrated a family event here, and had a fixed meal option, which was adapted to the dietary needs of two of the participants.
The restaurant is run by a couple, and we were geven an excellent service. Beautifully presented dishes, excellent food.
Modern interior, lovely garden for the Summer. The only minus is the location away from the city centre.

This is the third time I ask you te research it.In the meanwhile I've been at least 6 times in this new restaurant.
Interesting and diverse menu, with a few well thought out wild game entrees. These include wild caught venison, Scottish partridge and pheasant which are in season at this time.
Lovely protected country estate that has been converted into an upscale restaurant and two guest rooms. Upgrades have kept the charm of the property.
Enjoyed the venison this evening which was accompanied by a brocoli di rape, with an amuse bouche to start that consisted of the chef's own sausage creation. The amuse bouche was topped off by a wicked carrot and mint relish that played off the sausage perfectly. Venison was encrusted in a rustic mustard, cooked rare, very tender and tasteful. Paired with a Montepulciano wine that worked well.

Had dinner yesterday with our Horseriding friends at Thr Boondocks, had the 600 gram T Bone sold at 29€ wich is an ok price to me,it was cooked medium rare as asked for,and very good taste, very friendly waiters allways asking if you need some more side disches as french fries and so on,this is the good part, but this is a very big venue and it was Friday night so it was overcrowded and very noisy with children yelling allover the place,so if we go back we will avoid weekends,if you go to Boondocks try to avoid the second floor part it's sizzling hot up there and all the big tables are seated there. When the weather is good ask for outdoor Seating, they have a very well appointed Terrace.

At the menu a variety of brasserie dishes (fish and meat). Good taste and food, but I thought this was rather expensive for what you get. The menu and dishes are brasserie quality and brasserie dishes, but prices are restaurant prices!
There was a lot of personnel (too much to be honest) and the numbering of their tables was a real mess. They brought our appetizers at another table and when another table asked the bill, they brought our bill.
The interior is an old barn and very dark. To me, it was not very attrative to come here again for diner. I'd rather come here to have a drink in the afternoon at the large Terrace.
