This 90 seat restaurant was owned by an older gentleman that appreciated each customer. This great little place has changed. New management embraces poor service and taking for granted their customers. Turns a deaf ear to the same local customer base that the previous owner took decades to build. Long waits for cramped conditions and lesser quality catfish is what you can expect.
Better choices for fish in the lake area are Willow Pond in Aurora and The Keg in Murray.

Homemade Bread and Buns for your favorite burger or other sandwich. My favorite is the Grilled Pork Tenderloin on homemade bun. Yummy. They have a great selection of Sandwiches, along with great seasoned fries or a pick of many salads. Now let's talk about the homemade Desserts. Yum. To top it off they also own a Donut shop in same strip mall, with great donuts, cakes, Pies, cupcakes. So loosen the belt and dive in.

Our last visit to J's was not so good. The food was OK the service was good, but we were there for 2 and 1/2 hours mostly waiting for our food. Well let's just say this was a completely different visit this time around. We were greeted right away with a smile and a welcome. Our drink order taken right away. When our server found out our last visit was a bust she apologized. A few minutes later the manager was out politely asking us about our last visit. He sincerely apologized, promised us much better service this time around and made us feel welcomed. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and man was it good. My wife raged about what she said was probably the moistest, tastiest piece of chicken she's ever had at a restaurant. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp. It was pretty amazing. Everything was fresh and well prepared and the service was great. It won't be another 3 months before we visit again. Thank you J's for making this visit hands and fists above the last.

Went there with family-7 in all on a Friday night. They were very busy and I can see why. The food tasted just like my mom used to make. Plain country cooking. 3 meats-catfish which was so good, fried chicken, and pork chops. Cornbread, hushpuppies, white beans, greens, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, lots of other good stuff and salad bar for $13.95. All you can eat. I had no room for desert, so that tells you something.

this place has great burgers---I really like their double-burger on homemade bun, with swiss cheese, mushrooms and grilled onions and steak sauce. just wish their dining room area was cleaner....it's always such a mess and very crowded.

Went for a fast dinner on a week night. They are known in the area for their buffet. It has something for everyone on the salad, dessert, and main buffets. I decided to order the 8 oz. pork chop special, and I wasn't disappointed. It rivaled one from a fine steakhouse. Perfectly cooked. It came with a big perfectly baked potato and a trip to the salad bar. All for under $10. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. There's lots of parking. It's just off I-24 on Hwy 68/80. Easy on and off. Eat where the locals eat. There's a big Mexican restaurant in the same building. I may try it next.

After driving from home and searching middle Kentucky for my wife's long lost family, it was timn e for a meal.
We stopped here for dinner and found a buffet and salad bar that was very good. Six meats, many veggies, great salad bar and dessert bar, not bad. Clean, well stocked, nice staff and very well priced. Please stop if you in the area.

A " WIFI" easy access place !!! It was our "Relaxing Place," awaiting the great show, NEARBY, at the
" KENTUCKY OPRY." This is an older DQ, conveniently to local attraction, with easy access / plentiful parking. The servers were very courteous, CLEAN (no offensive tattoos or facial rings), & most competent !!! We settled on DQ Bars, from the Sub 0° coolers. We'll be back here !!!

We stopped in here not knowing anything about the place. We were in Kentucky for a family wedding. This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you get out of your car and smell the "smoke" it makes you hopeful. I got the rib special of the day with green beans and baked apples. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and lip smacking good! The grenade beans were fantastic as we're the baked apples. If I am ever in Benton again, I will seek this place out again! Staff was also exceptional especially as busy as they were.

Fast Eddie's Bait and Tackle is one of the hottest spots on Kentucky Lake. At one location, you can shop Western KY's largest tackle store, visit our convenience store, or eat at our famous Fast Eddie's Place Restaurant. Come check out where all the locals hang out. We are family owned and operated since 1984.
Breakfast or lunch or dinner; everything is fresh and delicious. Great place to pick up a bag of sandwiches or burgers to go. Supplies for fishermen too are available here, too. Fair prices; easy to find; ample parking. I will return.
