We stopped in for lunch after driving by this place countless times. The restaurant was surprisingly packed for a Monday lunch. We ordered some of the soft pretzel sticks to start. They were very good and served with a honey mustard. We ordered a couple wraps, which were tasty and filling. The service was somewhat slow and it did take a while to get our food. We were not in a rush, but if we were, I would not recommend this as a quick lunch spot.

Hanover Street Chophouse

We are committed to serving food that will be creative, yet “classic,” service that will be impeccable but not intimidating, in an ambiance that will be elegant, yet comfortable and inviting, ensuring a dining experience that will be extraordinary and memorable!

Manchester is certainly seeing an influx of great restaurants lately. Lots of venues are bringing creative menus that you would come to expect of a bigger city like Boston. That being said, the Chophouse feels more like an established, classic institution that has been around forever (even though it’s fairly new).

The staff were the caliber you would expect from a high end restaurant. Knowledgeable, professional but not pretentious. They make for a great experience.

The menu was very good and large enough to satisfy almost anyone. The specials were thoughtfully prepared using local ingredients that were seasonally appropriate.

Seating is good with most having a view in to the open kitchen. Quiet booths and a private dining area are available if you want more privacy. Our table was probably the worst as it was right by the front door but it was still pleasant and didn’t ruin the night at all.

When making the reservation they inquired if it was a special occasion and I remarked that it was my wife’s birthday. When we arrived, they had flowers, a nice card and a candle lit dessert at the end.

Valet parking is the best option as the parking lot is a bit small. Dress code is fairly casual. Most men had a coat and tie or coat but I think some guests looked just as comfortable in jeans/business casual.

All in all, the Chophouse is probably the place to have a more “high end” dining experience in Manchester. Excellent experience.

The service was decent and the ice cream very good, though quite pricy. The issue is lack of seating outside. There is plenty of lawn and investing in some nice chair to sit outside would encourage more folks to linger and visit vs. having to sit in their cars or drive away. take a look at cape cod ice cream in yarmouth for ideas....they encourage folks to stay and visit.

My husband and I went for dinner on Saturday evening, which was our 40th wedding anniversary. After we had placed our dinner order and were enjoying some wine, the fire alarm went off. We looked around, and noticed staff leaving the restaurant. No one alerted guests as to what was happening. One of the managers finally came up and indicated we should leave. We went outside (stairs were icy) and had to wait for the fire department. It was cold and rainy out. We were told we could go back in by the fire department, but the staff wouldn't let us in. When we did get back in, we were informed by our server we would receive a free dessert, which was fine. When our bill came it was $125.00. I had received a $100 AMEX gift card as a present from my company. When we attempted to use it, we were told it was declined. I know for a fact, all they had to do was contact AMEX to have the charge approved. My husband ended up paying cash. I was not happy. Although the meal was fine, I was disappointed in how the staff reacted when the fire alarm went off and not being able to use the gift card. Our server was polite and attentive however. At this point, I seriously doubt I would go back for another meal nor will I recommend it to others.

Republic Cafe

Republic is a European style cafe serving lunch and dinner 7 days and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday with locally roasted coffee and a full bar.

The restaurant is centrally located on Elm Street. We did have to circle the block for parking on a Sunday evening. Met another couple there for drinks and dinner.

Small cafe with a very nice bar for drinks. Martinis and on tap beers. Bartender was attentive. Drink prices very reasonable. The restaurant was very quiet, fortunately as they do not take reservations for parties less than 5. We were sat at one of the booth tables. The waiter was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with making choices from the menu. Steak frites were excellent and uniquely seasoned with fried capers. Eggplant special dish was a bit over cooked and the Turkish chicken was fine. Chocolate cake was very good.

All around a good meal and reasonable pricing. We were not rushed, which was very nice.

Certainly worth the try.

Normally the Copper Door is a great experience, cordial staff and food prepared with care, This visit was on April 2, but I kept feeling that at any moment someone was going to shout "April Fools" and things would return to within my previous experiences. Walking in the door the area at the Host Station was jammed up with confused customers and staff who seemed to be overwhelmed. Although the parking lots were full, inside there were not a lot of customers sitting in the area around the bar. I was able to make my way to the bar, and was promptly greeted by the Bartender. Looking at the April Specials I noticed that none of the choices was a "Cuban Panini". Having spent a lot of time in the Carribean I have a passion for a well made Cubano, so ordered the Special. A properly made Cubano has a nice marriage of flavors, such that each of the elements is present. What I received looked great, however the first bite was a disappointment. There was no complex flavor profile, it was one flavor, with the exception of the few places which had a chance of pickle the flavor was a singular taste situation. Opening the sandwich I saw that both the pork and the ham were shredded or ground up. The result was a boring sandwich, which I did not finish. I have a hip that needs to be replaced, so walk with a cane. As I left the restaurant one of the staff rushed up to the door, treating me as if I was infirm as well as ignorant of how to operate the automatic door function.. Even though I told her that my problem was walking and that my upper body strength could handle opening the door, she still reached around me to push the button. The situation was insulting and demeaning.

Went here for dinner for my husbands birthday. Definitely get a reservation. The place isn't huge and it is very busy. First off we loved the atmosphere. We had a great table. I got a martini but it was very strong, not my cup of tea. Hubby had a Bloody Mary and a Mint Mule. According to him both were ok, run of the mill, nothing special. Ok drinks aside, the food!!! It was amazing!! We indulged and enjoyed every bite. Asian Dumpling and Crab Cake appetizers, best we ever had. He had Delmonico and I have a Lobster/pasta special. So extremely good. We took home half and were so thrilled to enjoy it all over again for lunch the next day. For dessert we split a raspberry creme brulee, it was to die for. We look forward to another kid free night to go enjoy a very scrumptious, adult evening again!

KC's Rib Shack

Welcome to KC's Rib Shack Barbecue restaurant. New Hampshire's favorite BBQ for close to two decades. At KC's Rib Shack, serving the world's finest hickory-smoked ribs and BBQ is our passion. Our food and exceptional service are definitely two things we take seriously. No white tablecloths here, you'll sit at butcher paper covered tables under the Christmas lights and pull from a roll of paper towels to wipe our homemade BBQ sauces from your face. Our Southern style Barbeque, Bar-B-Que, Bar-B-Cue, just Q, or however you spell it, is seasoned with our own recipe of different dry rubs and cooked without sauce. Its then cut to order and prepared straight from our smokers which run 24 hours a day...

Reviewed By musiclover1013 - Norwood, Massachusetts

Tucked away in a cluster of shoppes in Bedford is Teknique. This hidden gem of a restaurant is turning out some innovative cuisine and cocktails in a casual yet polished atmosphere. I was impressed by the freshness of the meals, the flavor combinations, the reasonably priced wine list, and the generous portions. The smoked pork chop was flavorful & moist. Another standout dish was the salmon with the succotash. I would say a couple areas for improvement would be to pay attention to meal pacing as to not rush diners and also invest in an espresso machine.
