Ate twice at the Manoir whilst on holiday in the Quebec region. On the first occasion the restaurant was quiet and both food and service were excellent. As a result we booked for another evening. On booking we were told there was a large party booked in, so we agreed a time for a table which would accommodate us all. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, we chose our food and were reasonably quickly served the starters, which we ate and enjoyed. We then waited for the plates to be cleared. And waited. And waited. We were topped up with fresh water, but still the plates weren't cleared. No one apologised for the delay. Eventually the plates were taken and our main course was served. One was not as ordered. Another didn't arrive with the rest. It finally came and the recipient was disappointed with her choice. However the other 3 mains were delicious - I can recommend the Aberdeen Angus steak. On the whole, I thought the food good and not overpriced for its quality; I felt let down by the service and the attitude of one of the male staff in particular, who told us we had been given good service when we decided to reduce the tip accordingly- we are from Europe, and the customers decide what is good service, not the staff. We probably would choose not to leave a tip at all in Europe. On the positive side, the owners apologised and gave us a free drink to compensate. Shame though that it happened at all - a few words earlier apologising for the delay between courses would have solved the problem at the outset. Perhaps some staff training required.

I have to say the steaks here are excellent and the place is a higher class of restaurant than you normally find in the town , but you do pay for it. Even mid week the restaurant was very busy , my only complaint and the reason it did not receive 5 stars is there was a very limited choice of local craft beers , guess this is more of a wine place.

I went with a friend at Poivre Noir and looked for something special in the region of Trois-Rivieres. We were impressed by the services and the waiters presented us all the meals in English.
Menu were great and location fantastic, this restaurant is one of the best I went in that city.

Loved my pasta - Mac & cheese ! My husband asked for buffalo mozzarella on his pizza & black olives - the pizza was $17, they charged extra $2 for the olives and $12 (yes twelve) for the cheese !!! For a tiny amount !! We were shocked by this addition on the bill & even more shocked that the server did not mention how much it would be when he requested the substitution. So just beware of this strangeness if you try to order anything off menu !

La Dolce Vita in Trois-Rivieres! Fresh pastas made everyday, incredible Pizzas and Calzones...since 1997.Homemade sauces and desserts...Unique ambiance, service and decor. Outdoor tables in summer. A must in Trois-Rivieres.
A group from work went here for an evening meal . the food was excellent for all of us , the lasagne i had was huge and very filling . The place is very nicely themed and the staff very pleasant but service was quite slow, probably because there was only one lady serving the tables . some of our later arrivals had to wait 15 mins to get a drink as an example . i did love the great choice of beers and they even had unfiltered beer which is rare to find in a bar.

This restaurant is located near the Delta hotel. It is small, cosy and run by a couple that know their food and their wine.
Lucien cooks the specialty meats at your table: I shared with a colleague a chateaubriand (thick beef tenderloin) for two which was just awesome and served with vegetables. My appetizer of garlic-butter snails was equally very delicious.
There is a wide selection of wine and Lucien makes great suggestions on the selection depending on what food you order. The wine is then decanted in a large carafe before serving.
The place is price but you get the fine French cuisine experience. Service is impeccable.
A must do once in Trois-Rivières.

Had a business lunch with several colleagues. Most of us ordered the Phat thai with chicken. It was crowded for a TUE per our local host, and we had to wait quite a while (close to 30 minutes) for our food. However, the food was great. Gigantic white bowls. I ate every bit of it. Rated as Average only since we had to wait so long - the food was very good.

nous sommes fermes pendant nos vacances annuelles en janvier et fevrier reouverture le 5 mars 2018. Au plaisir!
The drive from Montreal to Quebec is primarily rural farmland, lovely. There are not many places to stop for a bite to eat unless you want McDonalds. Take the time and get off the highway at Trois-Rivieres for lunch. This lovely former church is now a clean modern restaurant on the inside with a large communal table and several individual tables for 2 or 4. Homemade soups and salads, grilled sandwiches make for a terrific lunch spot. The onion soup and carrot soup were outstanding with the onion soup made with sweet onions and very flavorful. The soup and salad combination is excellent but the salad is very tiny so if you are hungry order the larger salad or the soup and Sandwich combination. The service was very good and the owner was extremely pleasant. The waitress did speak some english which was helpful.

Pub Bar and Pizzeria full of ambience, caters for children also and take away/deliveries
Clean, well appointed pub. Delicious food and fast service.
Friendly and efficient staff.
Large menu with different pub fare. We had chicken wraps and fries....all properly prepared with homemade mayo. Did not order pizza but they seemed to have a wide selection of toppings including seafood toppings. Steak and fish dishes also available.
Dessert menu was ,pat interesting.

Stopped for lunch and a beer while traveling to Quebec. Trois Rivieres is a great little town and this is the best spot for lunch. We were the only tourists there! We started with the gose and ipa beers - which they brew and these are fabulous. And, then had the beef tartar and the scotch egg. Both were quite good. The outdoor back patio is very laid back and relaxing. A must stop if in the area.
