What I was impressed with: This is a small, friendly, cozy restaurant and a 2 page menu with great selections, Appetizers were great, we had the cheese and crackers and the gorgonzola flatbread, the drinks were very well done, try the Chai Mai Tai, Food quality was excellent, we had a party of 6 and everyone loved their order. The service was fantastic, our waitress was attentive and a lot of fun! Nothing was less than very good.

While working at the IMS Retreat Center in Barre, MA, in October, I frequently visit the Carter Stevens Farm. The farm store sells raw cows milk that we use to make cheese. Their homemade ice cream is always excellent. Shortly after arriving in early October, the farm put on a harvest festival, opened the excellent barbecue stand that normally stays open in the summer, and produced events such as the pumpkin catapult that were entertaining to families with children. The Farm also has its own microbrewery in an adjacent barn that frequently has dances.

My Partner and I love the Barre Mill, the Owner Hostess is always so friendly, also all the waitresses are always helpful and friendly, the specials which include soup, salad bar, main course and dessert are always Very Good,in these times it's always great to get such a quality meal for a very fair price,in closing those that criticize should tell their complaints to the Owner and not in a Review and probably just go to the high price places where the food isn't always that great.Very Satisfied Customers

New Braintree is remote to Western Worcester County. I have known about this country store since a boy in 1958. Ed and Sue Reed have been proprietors for 40 years. This compatible duo serves both transients and locals. The owners are both humble and quiet. Their food is good.

When we were told that we could get good sandwiches at the Petersham Country Store we were expecting the usual choices, basically subs and pizzas. But no! He had a delicious Turkey club, she had a chef salad, and we got a "TLT" (tempeh, lettuce and tomato) to take back to our vegetarian daughter. All were very fresh and tasty, and it's nice to find vegetarian & vegan products that are part of the regular menu not add-ons. Sandwiches come with a tangy sweetish carrot salad on the side, a nice change from the usual watery cole slaw. The baked goods also looked scrumptious.
My only suggestion would be to stock some Coke or Pepsi products along with the exotic juices and soft drinks already available.
This is a true country store. You can buy groceries and produce, even books, toys and locally made crafts. Definitely worth stopping in!

Today was our first visit to Rose32 Bread, when passing through the area. We were not disappointed. This is a spectacular small bakery cafe, with delicious breads, pastries, sandwiches and more - all made with all-natural ingredients. It also has some excellent choices in coffees and loose teas, as well as a small selection of local craft beers. We truly enjoyed our lunch, sitting out on the shady patio. (There is also a sunny patio for cooler days, as well as inside seating.) It is difficult to leave without choosing a selection of pastries and desserts to bring home!

It is a good place to eat or just have ice cream on a warm night. The burgers are very good and the outside dining is clean and comfortable. The servers, (especially Kelly) are very polite.

The Jenkins Inn & Restaurant offers fine dining in a romantic setting with a limited amount of seating in a fireplaced dining room with panoramic views from 10 windows overlooking our landscaped gardens....We specialize in quality foods, natural & organic, prepared to order by our chef/owner. Entrees include Duck, Lamb, Tenderloin of Beef, Chicken Breast, Ostrich, Salmon, Scallops and assorted filled pasta dishes as well as daily specials.
Have been here a few times. It is worth the trip (we live 30 minutes away). The food is unfailingly good, the hosts are friendly and informative, and the ambience is very pleasant. One of those few restaurants that I don't have anything negative to report.

Becki's Bistro serves breakfast, lunch, light afternoon fare, ice cream, and Jane's home-made pies! In addition to the staple breakfast items, we have fresh muffins, crazy delicious corned beef hash, beautiful fruit bowls, sensational home-made sausage patties among other delights. We have gluten free bread, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, veggie burgers and falafel. Many of our soups are also gluten free. We proudly serve Dean's Beans Organic coffees. Recently, we initiated an "Apres Deux" menu. Our grill and fryolator are turned off at 2pm. Our "Apres Deux" menu includes salads, cold sandwiches, soups, and waffle sandwiches - try our grilled cheese on sourdough in the waffle maker! YUMMEEEE!
Not very big, but a surprisingly extensive menu. Sandwiches and the like, mostly--all very good. Pleasant servers, and if it matters the best baby-changing table I have ever seen in a restroom. You wouldn't go to Barre just to eat there, but if you're near Barre, this is where you should eat.
