Amazing food in a quiet location with great service. So good to get away from the hustle and bustle and eat some fantastic food! We really enjoyed the steak, delicious rabbit stew, trout and pork - accompanied with rosemary potatoes and a mixed salad. Superb. Make it one of your "go to" places to eat when in Bardolino.

We have had a few drinks here on a few occasions and service is always good. You also get nibbles when you order drinks which is a nice touch and I think it's a local tradition, many restaurants/ bars do the same. Lovely view over the lake also.

We're on a gelati crawl - finding the best gelati place at every town we visit in Italy. Found this on trip advisor. Really lovely gelati and reasonable prices.

After eating out in a selection of indistinguishable Bardolino restaurants we discovered Il Giardino and what a pleasant experience it was. The restaurant is decorated in an ersatz olde worlde style but that made for a cosy relaxed atmosphere. The menu was small with only a few carefully chosen dishes. We chose Guinea fowl with asparagus, samphire and kumquat. We asked for a good local wine to match our meal. On the extensive wine list I pointed to an expensive Bardolino cru but the waitress said 'no' and suggested a less expensive Bardolino! It was La Franghe, an organic red that perfectly matched the Guinea fowl. Before the min course we were given a superb ricotta cheese amuse bouche. All in all a splendid evening of Michelin quality food in a delightful atmosphere. And the bill? it was no different to those other Bardolino pizzerias! Thank you all you lovely ladies who run Il Giardino.

We found this restaurant soon after arriving in Bardolino. It is set in a little square enough for people watching without it thronging with crowds.
We both enjoyed our meals - My husband in particular liked his piping hot pasta with plenty of seafood. We had a good bottle of local white wine for a reasonable price. The service was friendly and efficient on a busy lunchtime and the owner found time to chat to us and was clearly proud of his own local produce such as chilli oil.

Visited for a wedding and was hugely impressed by the food, service and ambience of the restaurant. Set in a quaint courtyard area with outdoor Seating it epitomises what you would expect from a traditional Italian restaurant. The menu is varied and interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed each of the courses I ate. Highly recommended!

A delightful, friendly restaurant, just off the beaten track. Service was meticulous and the couple that run the restaurant were extremely helpful with our food choices. We went twice during our stay in Bardolino, and interestingly, there were the same diners there too. Shows you that others thought the same! Great italian food!

We booked a table at Cardellino (recommended). Settled down in the garden room with a warm typical Italian interior followed by a enthusiastic waiter. Wow a good start. After the menu and wines (great selection) were explained we began a culinary experience. And at the end we could say this was Italian dining at its best. Atmosphere, staff and the food were fantastic.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
