We read the reviews and decided to get our pizza on here. Up front, this is a big time local joint and the staff was slammed with orders. They do a great job making sure the dine in customers get first priority so you don't have to wait too long. However, the pizza is good at best. The crust is a little dry, sauce is light, and the mushrooms are from a can. I can't say anything bad about the staff but I've had, and made, better pizza.

Family restaurant with bakery, gifts shop, BBQ, pizza, Michigan Beers and great service!
4 of us ate until we couldn't anymore! Delicious homemade breads. The cinnamon swirl needs nothing more than butter! We had sausage gravy on biscuits, egg skillet with gravy, western omelette, and eggs with ham on hash browns covered in cheese sauce and we were...MoreThank you for the review, it is greatly appreciated!

We love the selection of treats available at the Frostie Freeze. I particularly enjoyed the Java Chunk hard ice cream although the small size I ordered was more like a medium or large in most other stores. Not a bad thing necessarily - particularly for the price - but I really didn't need such a large treat. Will definitely stop again when i am in the area.

The Drive In features some of the best frozen custard you will find anywhere. Car hops take and bring your order to your car which is fun, but they use a wireless tablet to do so. That's fine, because the food and frozen custard are timelessly good!

For the most part the food was good, I had the Country Fried Steak, mashed taters, and side salad. I would order it again.
The restaraunt definitely needs updating and there is an an unpleasant stench from some kind of cleaning chemicals.
Well, that's my review see ya down the road.

Nice decor. Appeared clean. Cute picture size quilts are displayed on one wall. I even "wowed" when I walked in the front door.
Service was very friendly and efficient. Pizza was loaded with toppings and tastes good. Lasagna had tons of cheese but had a tad too little sauce for my taste. Nice view out the front windows of the bay.

What a delightful surprise to have such a delicious meal and personal attention from Carla herself. We struck out completely in Houghton, and it was after 7:30pm when we stumbled onto Carla's. Fresh lake trout was amazing! Perfectly baked. Hand cut fries were also a treat. Salad bar was fresh and varied. Kids inhaled their meals too. Thank you Carla for your hospitality, great food and a gorgeous view of the water.

Every time I am "home" in L'Anse I frequent the Nite Owl Cafe for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner as it is great food any time of the day or evening. You will truly enjoy your meal as well as the friendly employees!!

We came in to this restaurant at about 8 o'clock on a Monday evening and there was only one additional diner there.
I ordered chicken Parmesan and what I got was chicken nuggets on spaghetti.
My wife ordered smothered chicken which looked good however she ended up being sick all night.
This is not someplace we will come back to.
