We have had breakfast at this lovely restaurant on numerous occasions and have never been dissapointed. Great menu selections and excellent prices. The Asparagus-Cheese Fritatta is excellent. We have only been there twice for dinner that again were excellent. The Salmon with Stuffed Shrimp Combo was excellent.

This bakery is known both as Le Donne Brothers Bakery and Roseto Bakery but either way it is as close to being in Italy as one is likely to ever be in Pennsylvania. The town of Roseto, made famous by the "Roseto Effect" study concerning the absence of heart attacks should be of interest to anyone uncertain about just how important family and a close knit community is to reducing stress in the modern day world. Bread must be ordered in advance but is worth the effort to purchase, especially the stuffed breads. The stuffed Pepperoni was my favorite but some family members preferred the sausage and pepper stuffed bread. A visit to the bakery, the nearby Italian grocery, and a stroll around Roseto, PA. is worth the time for anyone traveling in or near Stroudsburg, PA.

I went in expecting quite a lot. Soft flaky pies, fresh in-season ingredients, etc. such was not the case. Fine atmosphere, but they don't
Make the pies there, I was informed. That explains the absence of fresh.

We decided to supplement out Thanksgiving holiday this year with Emmy Lou's Homemade Ice Cream and add Scratch Pies. Word of mouth was that Emmy Lou had begun to offer scratch pies for holidays and special occasions to their already wonderful homemade ice cream assortment. We were believers in her ice cream, as we are frequent visitors year-round 'clean', 'nicely decorated' establishment. The staff and Emmy Lou always warmly greet you and make you feel welcome. The assortment of ice creams have the usual basics available along with an always changing variety of 'specialty' ice creams.
Breakfast sandwiches are made to order in the A.M. also.
Plenty of booth and tables await you.
As previously mentioned, Emmy Lou recently decided to add scratch pies for 'take out' for holidays and special occasions. We ordered Apple and Pumpkin and they were just marvelous; deep dish, crust firm yet flaky, full of tasty ingredients to the point that every bite left lasting memories!

Mr. Pastie pies are based on the traditional Welsh miners meals of fresh dough, cooked meats, fresh potatoes, onions and spices baked in turnover style. My family and I can attest that after years of enjoyment, Mr. Pastie still retains the consistent high quality and freshness that we have come to expect.
Mr. Pastie turnover pies can be purchased in your supermarket's frozen section if you live elsewhere, however if you are so very fortunate, stop in and purchase them fresh baked! You will not be disappointed. In fact, I guarantee that once smitten, you will return for more. While there you can watch them make the turnovers.
If you are traveling through the area, the shop is conveniently situated in the borough's central area just one block from the only streetlight in Pen Argyl.
A bonus is that in 2012, the company was purchased by J&F Products based in York, Pennsylvania. The new owner is a worthwhile charity and since purchasing, has invested a loving effort to maintain and improve Mr. Pastie product quality!

My bride and I went there for the first time last weekend. It was a mistake that we haven't gone sooner. The staff was very inviting and the the place has its own charm. From the appetizers to our entrees the portions were plentiful and tasty. We plan on going back soon. I would recommend if in the area to give it a try.

We are primarily a take out restaurant, we DO NOT have public restrooms. We do have 2 tables inside and a picnic area outside. We specialize in true Southern Style BBBQ, sauce on the side. All of our sides, sauces, desserts, etc are made from scratch on the premisis. We do occasionally run out of items due to the amount of time it takes to prepare them...12hr min. for our Smoked Brisket for example. Please feel free to call ahead and ask if everything is available. Ya'all stop in a visit a spell!
while visiting a local winery, asked for some dining suggestions in the area. was told to check out Little Creek....Boy was that a good choice....wife had the Baby Back ribs and I had the Brisket....2 great selections....corn muffins were extra, but will worth it....great partnership.....can't wait to get up into the Bangor area again and try the pulled pork....

We are a cash only ice cream store. We also have a food menu. Remember "WE'RE MORE THAN JUST ICE CREAM"
I've passed this place a thousand times since it opened. I have been dreaming about stopping for one of those fabulous flavors in a cone. Today, it's hot and humid. I finally stopped but it's cash only. I only had a dollar so I got the bottle of water I really needed. Not only was there no sign anywhere stating cash only, there is a sign in the window for mastercard/visa. I am sure I will pass this place at another thousand times before I go in again. It's so easy to lose customers this way. I'm kind of peeved I wasted my time, and my taste buds are very disappointed. I don't understand how a business person could overlook incorrect communication about what tender they take. I tend to hold a grudge and never patronize the business again.

I have been here many times for dinner and have tried quite a few items. The food is excellent! Everything from the award winning wings to even a delicious salmon dinner. The staff has always been pleasant and great even when it was a busy Friday night. Yes the drinks are expensive but this has helped keep a nice crowd.
