We were a club party celebrating Christmas. Our members had ordered several different main dishes and Deserts. I had chosen traditional Turkey and ham followed with Pavlova. Both were really delicious. Was surprised just how good the food was considering it was holiday time. I was at a different restaurant the previous week had the same main course and found it just about edible. Would definitely recommend the Anglers Rest to my friends.
Speaking to other members who had ordered different main courses all were in agreement the food was delicious?

The wee place looked lovely and staff friendly I had from menu board braized beef which were changed to beef cheeks, after I returned mine and had a large meatball with red pepper sauce. The girl apologised and switched...MoreGood morning and I am sorry to hear your visit did not live up to your expectations. I would hope you visit for lunch again and try our delicious menu. My fiance took me here as a surprise for my birthday. I am vegetarian and must admit the vegetarian options were really interesting and different. Our dishes were excellent and the staff were so attentive and friendly. One of the best Irish coffees I have ever had. Can't wait to go back again. This restaurant is a hidden gem.

Love the warm BBQ chicken salad starter. Big enough as a main course. Desert of raspberry and white chocolate roulade was massive. Two slices if roulade topped by ice cream and some strawberries. Very sweet but yummy. I like the food.

We booked a table for 2 for a Saturday evening, no problems and arrived around 5.30 to a nice atmosphere, not too full, not too empty. Drinks first and exchanged pleasantries with our host, observed he chatted extensively to those regular customers who obviously enjoy the food and chat to come back regularly.Nice personal touch.
I ordered the Sugar Pit Pork and my better half had the Pot Belly Chicken. Side of veg and it was very tasty indeed, prepared in a timely manner, dined in a spacious and attractive surrounding. Staff were professional, friendly and courteous throughout.
Highly recommended, we will return!

Couldn't recommend Harry's Bar enough! I went with my mum and brought my fourth month old daughter. We didn't have a booking and were seated immediately and with ease for a car seat. I asked for a Cajun chicken strip salad as a main which they had no problem doing, it was lovely! And I had banoffee roulade for dessert, absolutely scrumptious! My daughter is just starting to teethe and had started crying as my dinner arrived. The kind waitress offered to walk around with her while her bottle was cooling just so that I could actually eat my dinner. I was amazed by the fantastic service provided to me here!

I frequent The Green Bean regularly and have never been disappointed with service or food. It's tucked away in a quiet back street and is in a private setting where the entire town can't see you dining, which is a plus.
The breakfasts, soups, sandwiches are all on the healthy side and are deliciously tasty. The coffee menu is fab and 5* coffee on tap. The waitresses are pleasant and friendly and the best thing of all are the prices, extremely good value for money. I can highly recommend.
