This Family run establishment was 2009 finalist in the Northern Ireland Tourism Awards. From its traditional bar to its chic restaurant and enclosed beer garden its a perfect venue for a great experience in entertainment and dining.
What can I say that hasn’t been said .... if you haven’t been to the central bar you are missing out..... 5 star staff to begin with ... attentive and courteous no matter how busy it is.... HUGH selection of drinks and perfect wine selection .... food is to die for .... my husband is dairy intolerant and the chef will adjust meals to suit him .... try the 16 hour slow roasted beef it’s melt in the mouth..

Ballycastle's best kept secret...
Having found ourselves in Ballycastle again, we visited in December and had discovered Ballycastle’s Best Kept Secret, we made our way there for the second time!
Once again we were greeted with a roaring fire and a warm welcome from chris, the proprietor I’d this Wee gem. The place was a lot busier this time and was catering for a birthday party.
Having said this my partner and I received the same warm welcome and we were greeted with a smile. To be honest such was the quality of the food that we had experienced last time around we opted for The Early Bird menu and we were not disappointed by the quality of the food and the friendly service.
Roll on our next visit to Ballycastle and I hope that it is third time lucky for us when we again visit the Cellar!

Locally and responsibly sourced produce. Quality food at great prices.Delicious steaks and seafood, freshly prepared using quality ingredients, served in a relaxed atmosphere.
The 4 of us had a fantastic dinner here on our last night night in Ballycastle, We were all so delighted we found this gem (it was recommended to us by some people we met in the pub the night before). Unusually for me, there was loads on the menu that made my mouth water and it was difficult to choose. I had the scallops, followed by short rib of beef. Both were delicious, but the beef was the best ever. We like to taste each others food in our family; much to my delight. So I can also say the seafood platter starter was gorgeous (lacking in a bit of lemon only), the prawns in poppadom won that round though. My mum thought her steak and champ was fantastic too. Staff were really lovely and the bill was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

Me and the wife are in this place every time we are up on the coast and i have to report we have not had a bad meal out of here yet, and we have been going here ever since it opened..not sure what kajohnston1966 is ranting about but he/shes wrong on every level...the burgers come locally from a butchers down the road which are fresh..the potatoes are also sourced locally and the fish, well you cant get the fish any fresher..caught that morning and i always get a jumbo Cod...the crab cakes are to die for too...the gravy, well it cant be that bad as the wife wouldnt touch it if it was and shes very fussy about gravy..and to slate everyone in Ballycastle by stating ' these folk are without the ability to Taste' well your wrong again as Mortons does very well financially.....and before you yet accuse again no im not a relative either, im just stating facts...

Staff very welcoming and friendly. We were not able to prebooked a table but we did not have to wait long for one to become free. The menu took full benefit of the great seafood, breads, meat and vegetable from local suppliers in the town. They support local businesses and is a great example of what travellers expect. Wonderful food - we will be back and will highly recommend O'Connors to our friends. PS they do a great alcohol free beer for drivers.

Visited today in the middle of hurricane Ophelia. Very traditional cafe with great staff, nice menu and good value for money. The seafood chowder and traditional bread were highlights for us.

We've been here a few times on pizza night and, I have to say, a great evening was had by all every time. Lovely staff - helpful and friendly; great atmosphere and, of course, excellent pizzas. What more would you need for a good night out? Recommended.
