Husband's family have been customers of Kohler's since it opened. Even though it's changed hands a few times, the recipes are pretty true. The cream donuts. You cannot compare them to any cream donut you have ever eaten before. Soft dough, dusted with powdered sugar...MoreThis is outstanding. Thank you for taking the time to provide such amazing details to other customers of our products and your positive experiences with the many years we have been in business. We truly appreciate your family's support.

This BYOB gem is a great way to enjoy a little upscale dining without the high brow bologna. A friendly and professional staff are attentive without hovering and no rushing to turn the table. Thank you Sean. My wife and I shared an appetizer, salad and desert with two entrees. Total with 22% tip 155.00. Candidly this was a splurge for us and we enjoyed every morsel. Saving up for the next visit.

Rick and Sue's adventure on 7 Mile Island began 27 years ago when they took over the Fishin' Pier Grille located on 32nd Street in Avalon. The husband and wife duo's love affair with restaurants still runs strong after all these years as they continuously enjoy seeing the familiar faces of returning customers as well as the new comers each summer. Rick and Sue's grown children, Nicole Jones and Eric Montanari, are happily joining their parents in this new adventure of opening the Fishin' Pier Grille South in Stone Harbor this upcoming Spring. The family is looking forward to bringing the same reputation of great taste, service, and charm to their new breakfast spot.
Tried this place after hearing so much about it. Its all true Great Meal with Super Service. The selections are good, it small be ready to wait if you are not early. butwoth the wait.

Best hard ice cream on the island. Don't bother going to springers. Everyone behind the counter are very nice and extremely patient. Great flavors and variety, there's something for everyone. Homemade on site, flavors vary by day. Great waffle cones too! "Take a number" system works very well during the busy times. Outdoor seating available.

Unfortunately, the reputation exceeds the product. The donuts are good with an interesting selection of flavors, but are really overpriced. The local bakeries in Avalon deliver a superior product at a much more competitive price. The first time you have a donut with maple glaze and bacon it's one of the greatest things ever, but do you really need more than one of these?

Loved the food and how friendly everyone there was! I had the shrimp, avacado,BLT which was on special and really loved it especially the dill mayo that came with it. My daughter had the chicken parm grinder and I would highly recommend that as well. My waitress Marissa was very sweet. Can't wait to go back!

Practically the only surviving food joint from the days before Avalon turned into foo-foo destination for the wealthy. Standard soft serve ice cream, key is consistency. Prices have gone up over the years but ice cream is the same. Walk down memory lane....

I enjoyed dining at the Windrift Restaurant. The wait staff was exceptional. Courteous, friendly and most accommodating. I particularly enjoyed my meal as well. At the suggestion of the person who recommended I go, I decided on the Crab Meat Au Gratin. It was absolutely amazing. The veggies and baked potato complimented it well. I would definitely recommend that you try it out while in Avalon.
