Restaurant and entertainment complex "Poplavok" - is an opportunity to plunge into a special spiritual atmosphere. When all the complex issues are resolved at the table, and the rivers of beer floats and helps to establish friendships and give birth to new relationships.
and received cold and bored Soviet-style service in a massive, barn-like floating restaurant, nearish Lenin Square. Décor depressingly brown wood. Amazingly uncomfortable high chairs at high tables, with nasty sharp front edges. Coffee OK at moderate price. Can't imagine why you'd choose this place to eat at. Exclusively Russian menus. No WiFi.

The Almonds restaurant represents a network of institutions with east, Georgian and Uzbek, Tatar cuisine which idea belongs to the owner of restaurant. Appearance of restaurant - it is exaggerated east, collected from characteristic features, saturated. It is bright, juicy, fantastically, but thus absolutely pertinently and it is ideally adjusted to each other. Because it doesn't seem superfluous diversity of fabrics, patterns, flowers though here is enough both that, and another, and the third, carpets with a difficult ligature of the intertwining ornaments cover not only free space of a floor, but also hang on walls. Echo a rhythm of patterns of a carpet and the skillful carved details decorating walls, columns and eaves. Various decorative figures collected from the different countries finish the expressive image of restaurant. However, stuns not only furniture of the Almonds restaurant, but also the range of the menu. Almonds - one of the few places where in the gastronomic card in the separate section dishes from a horse-flesh are taken out: smoked kaza, beshbarmak from a horse-flesh. Is here and other indispensable hits of east and Caucasian cuisine - pilaf, lamian, shawarma, shish kebabs, kebab, dolma and our really royal dish "The shah - pilaf" is the rice prepared together with meat of mutton or veal on a choice. Baked in an unleavened wheat cake by dried apricots, a saffron, prunes and dates. You can order this imperial dish on a celebration according to the advanced order on 5,10,15 people.
Delivery service of food and drinks 999912
Booking of tables 999913
Managing director of restaurant 999914
A nice place to dinner. Big selection of Asian and Caucasian cuisine. I personally find the food a bit different from original recipes, but the overall quality is well ablve average. The atmosphere is nice, as well as water pipes. The sofas are pretty relaxing. Well worth its money

Great location sited very close to the river. Food and service were pretty good by Russian standards although an English menu would help the odd foreign traveller that passes through! Vibrant atmosphere with a mixed crowd all seemingly having a good time in a fashionable setting - recommended!

The food here is fine, but the service is kind of slow. The music is sometimes nice, but sometimes drowns out all conversation, and seems a bit fake (I have a sneaking suspicion they only pretend to play the instruments, and it's all back-tracking). The Chaikhana in Moscow is much nicer in my opinion.

Building doesn't look good from outside.typical, old dirty building by the river.inside, is other story.done with style, old Russian style, sweet. Good borsh though bit too salty, same with pork, add garlic with smetana and it become delicious... bit too oily, but you have to used to it, is Russia :-)

Great place for a variety of grilled meat. Limited salad. Wish they would add some big salad options. Liked the rustic look wooden benches. Glass walls, can see the streets on 2 sides. Clean inside. Friendly service, big smiles. Recorded music with DJ on one night I visited. Not at lunch time. Cool crowd, all having a good time. Value for money. Order the cranberry or tomato juice if non - drinker.

The Belgian-Luxembourg trade Mission has been hosted by the local Lukoil subsidiary in this high-class restaurant.
The ground level dining room is decorated in an English pub like manner, the banquet room on the second floor a tad more modern.
The food typical lower Volga fare was cooked, presented and served to perfection.
The variety was equally impressive: river pike caviar cooked with just enough onion, smoked sturgeon, beluga, and catfish, fish soup, fried zander, lamb chops, raw and cooked vegetables and so on.
Excellent vodka ice cold, unexpectedly good Bordeaux wine (Haut Maginet)
Excellent restaurant for both business and private entertaining

Wonderful atmosphere; staff does a great job of greeting you.
Service is very knowledgeable. They also have a menu in English which was very helpful and accommodating.
The 3 1/2 weeks my wife and I stayed in Astrakhan, we visited this restaurant least 5 times and always had the Steak Salad.
House beer (light) was mouth watering. No hangovers or nasty after taste.
Smoking section and non smoking section available however I believe June 1, 2014 no smoking throughout the restaurant goes/went into affect.
By far, a must stop if ever your in town.
