Although the buffet seems to be the draw here ($11.99 for seniors), we ordered off the menu. Our $7.95 entrees came with beverage, choice of roll or Texas toast, choice of fries or baked potato, and one trip to dessert bar. One-trip salad bar was $2.69 extra which I added.
Salad bar had both mixed lettuce selection as well as spinach bowl. Usual veggie choices - cherry tomatoes, cukes, etc. Also had tuna/pasta salads. Pretty typical fare.
I had small med-rare beef tips with pepper/onions, which was a decent-sized order in spite of the name, and hubby had chicken-fried steak. My beef was okay, but several pieces with gristle, and more medium than med-rare. Did not seem to have as much of a grilled flavor as I expected -- a little blah -- lots of onions, but few peppers. You can also choose mushrooms/gravy option.
Chicken-fried steak was declared "fine." Potatoes and bread were good. Desserts were what you would expect: no standouts.
We could see three roasted meats on the butcher table for cutting, plus 2-3 other meat choices for those who enjoy the buffet.
All in all, a good value if you like a generous amount of food for a minimum cost. Nothing that stands out, but nothing that was a detractor either.

I walked into the The Wet Whistle Co., to get a cup of coffee during my most recent visit to High Point, NC. What took place right after i entered i was taken back to a time when the show "FRIENDS" was on every week. The place has such a warm and welcome feeling. The owner of the establishment is very sweet and so friendly. I love the place. As i said, i was stopping in for a coffee and saw, more than a coffee shop. She sells all kinds of local products. Wines, which you can sample, pastries that are over the top delicious, Granola, oatmeal, teas, custom baskets, oh I could gone on and on. You need to make this a place to stop, enjoy a coffee on the outside cafe area, sit on the couch with friends and take in the place while sipping some wondeful wines. Yes, in the shop there are tables with chairs and a comfy couch, easy chair and just a great feeling of home. I purchased a case of wine, some delicious chocolates and a couple of knick knacks, along with a cup of coffee and a glass of wine. The place has everything. It is so beautiful. Thanks Wet Whistle for a wonderful experience.

We are a small cafe that holds 17 to 20 guests and all of our crepes are made to order. The penny Path is not a quick fix, if you have 10 folks in front of you expect to wait a little for your turn;) We offer sweet and savory crepes as well as made to order Coffee Drinks. Our savory menu is all vegetable and cheese based. We offer one main savory Crepe, the "Kitchen Sink" which contains a little of all the savory ingredients we carry. Guests can also create their own savory crepe with the available ingredients. Anyone of our Crepe Cooks can also be trusted to be let loose to create whatever they feel like for you, commonly know here as the "Trust Me" Crepe.
My husband got "the kitchen sink," a savory crepe, and I got a sweet crepe filled with their house cream and various berries along with whipped cream, powdered sugar, and honey. We plan on coming back for dinner! This place was amazing and we highly recommend it.

This place is what I like to call "Comfort Food" to the max. I have never gotten anything there that was top notch. Their variety is incredible and the food is always good and it's always warm when it gets to the table!

If you look at my other reviews you will see that I love Delicious Bakery in Greensboro, the only problem is that they are 30 miles from me, so I have to be really committed to my cupcake craving to go there. Now, not 10 minutes from my house we have Babycakes! Fresh cupcakes made daily, real buttercream frosting, interesting flavors. I am going to gain 100 pounds! There is another bakery in Archdale, but they only do cupcakes as an afterthought and the frosting isn't very good, there is no comparison in quality and taste. I am super excited to have Babycakes nearby.
If I were going to change anything, I would have a coffee bar with a barrista instead of a K-cup machine and more drink selection, I don't want a Coke with a cupcake. And more seating, maybe some outside seating. But other than those little things...perfection!

Cabo has become a 'go-to' spot when travelling to Archdale. The food is always served fresh and quickly. The menu offers an extensive menu of Mexican and Tex-Mex options with plenty of seafood but I keep it simple. Try the Taco al Carbon with corn tortillas. Fresh flavors can't be beat!
The wait staff is pleasant and sometimes you can catch the Mariachi band.

Not much of a fast food person, but biscuitville is different. Great service and good food. The fried okra was excellent! Had the cackalacky sandwich, okra, chessey grits and fries, no complaints here. Others in my party had chicken biscuits or catfish sandwich. Everyone enjoyed they're food. Would return.

Over the past month I find myself craving BBQ Joes!! I just can't get enough. I have tried numerous dishes from the MONSTER breakfast biscuits to the INCREDIBLE pulled pork and brisket platters. The warm hushpuppies could make a grown man cry. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly, and the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate your needs. I really love this restaurant and highly recommend it.
