Aranjuez is the home of Palacio Real (Royal Palace), the spring residence of Spanish kings since the late 1880s. The beautiful gardens surrounding the palace are just as famous as the residence and are the inspiration for “Concierto de Aranjuez” by Joaquin Rodrigo, one of Spain’s most significant composers of the 20th century. During the summer, join the local tradition of eating dinner in the picnic area next to the Tagus River. UNESCO designated Aranjuez as a World Heritage landscape in 2001 and a very large casino was built in 2005.

Very good creative cuisine. I had the 10 course vegetable menu, which was a bit uneven quality. Some of it extremely good like the sea-bass appetizer (the only non-vegetable/fruit part) and two asparagus delights. But also a few less interesting concoctions, like the two onion dishes served the one after the other. In the end, an enjoyable but not light meal.
The accompanying wine option is reasonably priced and generous.
The service is kind, and does everything possible for your enjoyment.
I would go back and recommend Casa José, although I found it not to be the best restaurant in Aranjuez.

This was an incredible lunch! The service was excellent, but more than anything the food what EXCELLENT. The salmorejo was some of the best I have ever had in Spain. The gazpacho was fresh and bright. The asparagus was perfectly cooked and the fried eggplant was absolutely stunning. Be sure to get the strawberries for dessert, as it is a specialty of the town. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We sought out a shady bistro for a long lunch, and found an excellent answer in Casa Pablo. After taking a little while to get us started, I was impressed by the stately professionalism of the waiter and how he guided us through our selections, even though we had chosen a couple of items that were typically only served within the bar. But what choices! We had bocarones and marinated sardines in two of the best modern executions I have had. I followed with an ensalada de escabeche, and my boyfriend chose the leg of lamb--both were well prepared and savory. We had wines by the glass to try a selection, preferring the Alvariño to the Chardonnay, but well pleased with the pricing on both. Under the canopy next to the boulevard of shady trees, this was a wonderful place for our weekend lunch.

Little restaurant selling excellent quality and excellent value typically Spanish good.
We were recommended to go to this restaurant by the receptionist at the Hostal Castilla - she said the food was real Spanish food, well served by nice people. She was absolutely right, and what a great price too - we went for the set menu, three courses plus wine (ok, not fantastic wine but they gave us gaseosa too, which Spanish people use to adulterate not-great wine, making it basically "tinto de verano") and water and coffee for 20 euros. Their salad of ventresca (sort of tuna but different, and Spanish) was very good, their grilled (yes, grilled) fresh asparagus was divine, then the main dishes we had were veal, beautifully cooked, and rabbit also beautifully done, followed by delicious local cheese or home-made flan. It's "simple" food but this is SO difficult to find in Spain, which has an inferiority complex about its own food. The owners/waiters were charming, the locale is an old building decorated in really Spanish style - what a find, I thoroughly recommend it. You won't do better anywhere for this price.

Thank goodness for this delightful restaurant in a town bereft of places open to eat on an April evening. We arrived too early for dinner, but had a drink and managed to communicate with our non-existent Spanish. The man behind the bar (who later doubled as the waiter) was patient and friendly, apologised for the wait for the restaurant to open and even managed to find a menu in English to compare with the Spanish menu with which we were struggling. The meal was delicious, the wine was reasonably priced and very good, and the service friendly and efficient. Would not hesitate to recommend such a lovely place.

Almazara Restaurant has been a family business for 8 years. We have recently moved and our new location is in Calle del Real nº1 in Aranjuez. We are situated next to the Princess Garden and close to the Royal Palace (5-7 minutes walking) and to the other Royal Gardens. We have a bar area as well as a restaurant with 32 tables in total in three different dining rooms. One of the dining rooms is private and we also have 10 tables on the Terrace.

Our dishes are a mix of fusion food and traditional Spanish cuisine at prices which are affordable for everyone. High quality food and great service shouldn’t mean an expensive meal and this is important to us so our meals range from between €10 - €20. We also offer a menu del dia which is a fixed price three course meal and we have a cheaper children’s menu.

For more information please contact us on the telephone number posted on the Tripadvisor website.
It took us almost two years before we got the chance to visit this place because every time we walked by it was closed. But it was worth the wait. The service was very good and the waiters even spoke English which was very helpful. The menu was interesting, not like at the tapas places you will find all over Aranjuez, with lots of meat and potatoes, this menu offered lots of healthy options with fresh vegetables. If you are a vegetarian there is enough to choose and if you eat fish there is even more. I chose the smoked fish salad and I got a big plate with lots of fresh salad and smoked salmon stripes, it was very good. As a main a chose the grilled vegetables and this was also very good and delicious. My meat eating friends were also very happy. I hope they are open during my next visit to Aranjuez, because I am definitely coming back!

I went to Postas 18 this past Saturday with a friend. I thought the service was good and the atmosphere was very welcoming. There were definitely a lot of families and everyone seemed to know each other. The food was good, we had the vegetable tempura and the fried brie with strawberry jam and some caramelized onions. I recommend this restaurant if you are looking to spend a relaxed meal outside, enjoying the streets of this small town. However, if you are looking for a bigger meal, I don't think there were a lot of options. It is the perfect place to go with friends and enjoy a couple of drinks accompanied with good food.

This place offers good standards of Spanish food mainly based on meat. Quality was excellent and sympathetic service. The restaurant has a very nice Terrace in front of a pedestrian way and facing a park. Reservations recommended as it was very busy.

I have been dining in some of the bars in Aranjuez for many years now, and for those of you searching for a culinary experience like no other, look no further than PIKOTEO. Its simple decor allows the simplistic beauty of the food to really shine. The servings are big and more than good value for money. There’s no doubt eating out at PIKOTEO has quickly become my hottest reservation in town!

our restaurant is located in the center of Aranjuez city. only 300m2 from the royal palace. it is well known in our know-how in cooking and preparing delicious Lebanese dishes as well as Spanish traditional ones. you will feel like at home and the service is excellent. every dish is made by fresh products and very healthy.
Being Lebanese, I can confirm that this meal was the most authentic Lebanese cuisine I've tried outside of home. The welcome was warm & genuine. The food was delicious, with very generous portions. We'll be back soon.
