Apizaco is a city in Apizaco Municipality located near the geographic center of the Mexican state of Tlaxcala, approximately 25 minutes by car from the state's capital city of Tlaxcala. The city gets its name from the Nahuatl language words "ātl" (water), "pitzāhuac" (thin), and the suffix "co" (place), forming "Āpitzāco", or roughly "thin water place". Those seeking to reach the port of Veracruz by railroad from Mexico City must travel through Apizaco. The city began because of its location on this railroad.

the restaurante is located at the La Posada Hotel in Apizaco, Tlaxcala
Had dinner last night with colleagues, really neat place, tucked away in the city center. The jalapeno sauce with the bread was very nice and the paella was delicious and massive! One serving could definitely have served two people. Good service too, we enjoyed our meal and will go back in the future.

We have been going to this place regularly for some years now. Chef Francisco and his crew are extremely committed to create the perfect experience and atmosphere for the visitors. This is quite a unique concept in the whole state of Tlaxcala and if there is a culinary boom in this state, Evoka is certainly the leader of the pack by far.
I can say that this place is a culinary lab where they play and experiment with the best original local ingredients, like Ayocotes (large beans) or Salsas which are made with the same ingredients but in 3 different ways and the taste is absolutely fantastic. The wine list is extensive but incredible reasonable, that can recommend wine pairings and also locally brewed beers and an equally creative cocktail menu to awaken your senses.
I have brought people form all over to this place and it always delivers and everyone agrees this is by far one of the most amazing experiences with Mexican Cuisine of their lives. Tradition is respected in the creation of the dishes, from plain gorditas to aged beef or delicious seafood, all amazingly integrated with México's finest taste. BTW their Tasting menu with wine pairing is always the best way to start.

I was visit on 20may2016. Service is very bad and cheating. We was waiting 30minute for the payment, 1st they come tips need to paid in cash but we not agreed, 2nd from beginning we was mention 10% of the tips but they charge my card for 20%. They was thinking I not find out the tips was wrong. After that I tell them is 10% not 20%. After that they said wrong charge and will refund to me in cash. But they was take 10minute to refund to me. Total is spending my time 40minute for the payment.

While looking unsuccessfully for another restaurant we came upon Plato and since it looked pretty interesting, went inside. Good choice. The food was excellent, decor and ambiance very nice and the service good although a tad slow. The restaurant is very nicely decorated with lots of wood everywhere, balanced lighting and an open kitchen area where they made some fantastic looking pizzas. Service was quick on arrival and good throughout. I had the Albondigas (Mexican Meatballs) in a morita Chile sauce and they were excellent served with rice and the requisite tortillas. I enjoyed them thoroughly. Just the right amount of heat for me but way too hot for my wife. She ordered the Cosltillas de Cerdo and was promised only very little spice but they were a bit hotter that she normally likes but she cleaned up the ribs and most of the rice that came with it. Remember when a Mexican server says it is not spicey that his terms of reference are differnet from someone with a Canadian sense of spice. Unlike other reviewers, I did not find the bill expensive - only 322 pesos for the two of us. Actually below what I expected. We did not have any alcohol which would increase the bill somewhat depending on your thirst and preferences. We had lemonade and mineral water.

We are a restaurant with a different proposal , fusing contemporary Mexican cuisine with French and Italian cuisine ; highlighting the best that each can offer us: their value. We also have a variety of premium wines , helping to foster a unique experience for our guests.
Si bien estuve de negocios, el lugar se presta para una cena romántica, la atención excelente y la calidad de los alimentos de primera, un lugar bastante tranquilo, donde la platica de negocios se puede dar sin interrupciones.

You can have great Mexican food in this restaurant with great service and veggie options also. It has few people eating here because the location is a little hidden inside a mall.
