I have eaten in seafood restaurants north and south and central Italy, along its many coasts and I have to say I keep coming back to this one because it really hits the mark. Al Turcotto is always improving on its menu, experimenting across all courses- the service is very good and views out over the Mediterranean are spectacular from their outside Terrace space, with the remnants of emperor Nero's beach house to the right just below the lighthouse. A must is ordering the mixed antipasti that are always spectacular. But then the mains, pasta's and desserts all more than live up to expectation. I'm surprised this is not a Michelin star restaurant. A must visit.

Very good food, the menu is vast almost all seafood, What do you expect when it is located on the harbour. It is very much a local haunt and they are treated very well. I would not say that our service was bad but not very good either. The folks having the vast 20+ menu special were the ones getting the super service. Still the evening was well worth it and I would recommend this place.

I visited this restaurant for a lunch with my parents and I was delighted with both the quality of the food and the friendliness of the service.
The choices of the day were listed by the helpful staff. We started with their trademark, the delicious and eclectic antipasti of the house, an array of different creative bites all fish based. The ingredients and creative combinations of the antipasti change over time to present an always somewhat new offer. We ordered a bottle of Vermentino, light and pleasant, that was a very good match with the seafood.
After the antipasti, that are quite filling, my parents asked for a first course, risotto with mushroom, zucchini and prawns and maltagliati with seafood amatriciana respectively, while I ordered a sea bass in salt crust, accompanied by cicoria as side dish. My parents were happy with their choice and I was too: the sea bass was tremendously fresh and cooked to perfection.
I was way too full for dessert, so I just ordered a lemon sorbet, while my mother had the chocolate and cream tart which was truly delicious (I tried a bite or two…).
Last but not least I found the prices to be quite reasonable given the quality offered.
If you are in the neighborhood and love seafood, you can’t go wrong by going to La Lampara!

We came here because of the TA reviews. For €5 you can choose from a good list of tasty, very thin crust, wood fire oven baked pizzas - and they are good. Fresh ingredients. Made from scratch to order. Big bottle of beer €2.50. Definitely value. I wouldn't make a special trip here, but if you're in town, a good place for a quick bite. Most order one pizza per person - we split one & got some of their fried bite applies. The spices one was excellent!

Located on the Port of Anzio, 2000 years ago was the cost preferred by the Roman Emperor Nerone. In the 40 years was the scene of the landing of the Allies at the end of World War II, now tourist resort, famous for its Beaches and for its excellent cuisine based on local fish. Elegant restaurant, friendly management and seafood cuisine, here you can sample a great variety of fish, from assorted seafood appetizers, the first and second meals according to local tradition, with the simplicity that brings out the true flavors of the sea, can be combined with excellent Italian wines. for a peaceful conclusion, the cook prepares delicious cakes every day.
After a day of swimming at the beautiful public beach in Anzio, we were ready for some local seafood. We settled on Capo d'Anzio after walking by several other places. It is tastefully decorated in a nautical style with beautiful blue water glasses that caught our attention. We were amazed at the amazing meal we got. For 18 euros per person we each received a plate full of steamed mussels in butter and wine for the starter; then a huge plate of pasta with clams; then a plateful of slightly breaded deep fried calamaril and shrimp which was served along with a light salad. I have to say that this was the best meal I have ever had. The seafood was very fresh and simply prepared as to not detract from the flavor. The service was impecable. As other reviews have mentioned -- the only other customers were Italians.
We were sorry that we only managed to get to Anzio for one meal during our stay in Rome.

Try our typical regional dishes or choose for the authentic Umbria’s recipes, in a very warm and welcoming place. In our daily menu you can find everything you could desire. A range from small starters to desserts are chosen carefully by our chef, connected to each season. All our products like cheese, fresh seasonal vegetables, our sausages and the typical roman lamb I.G.P. are part of the offer.Don't miss our tastefull spaghetti cheese and pepper, pasta amatriciana or our delicious truffle “scorzone” with strangozzi or tortellini. Barbecue is also on the menu. Taste our finest steaks, sliced meat with rucola and balsamic vinegar or try our mixed grill.
Great place! Simple authentic well prepared meals served by a friendly staff. The grilled meats and pasta dishes are outstanding. By all means do the antipasto course. The meats, cheeses and other specialties are not to be missed. Great value for money. Recommend Reservations for this popular spot.

I went there just once, but my husband has eaten many times at Il Corallo and he says it is a reason enough to go to Italy :) I cannot but completely agree with him. Everything is delicious there, but I especially recommend their "antipasti misti". The number of starters that are served is very generous: a real feast for belly and eyes!
A true jewel not to be missed if you are in the area.

Wonderful lunch at Vittorio al Porto. We discovered it by searching Trip Advisor for the best place to eat in Anzio and we were not disappointed. In fact, it was one of the best meals that we've ever had. To put this in perspective, we are both ~50 years old, have lived and traveled all over Europe and the USA, and consider eating and drinking well an important part of living!
The antipasti we had was 10 mini courses served in waves of 1-2 plates as each became ready to serve. At 20 Euro, we expected a nice plate but instead received this wonderful surprise. Each dish was done artfully and all were exceptional. As an entree, the fried calamari and shrimp was without a doubt the best that I've had ever. Light batter, tender squid, sweet shrimp, and all with a beautiful bottle of house white wine made just 10km down the road.
Not the cheapest meal in the world but trust me when I say that the quality is worth the price (97 Euro for two for a leisurely 2 hour lunch).
What made the experience all the better was watching the chefs enjoy themselves in the kitchen, seeing the waiter beaming a smile seeing the artful presentation of the food he was about to serve, and seeing and hearing satisfaction all around us at every table. I've never seen so many people smell and smile at their food!!!
A+++
We will be back, and we will bring friends.
