Unpretentious is an understatement. Centered in a strip mall, nothing will draw you in. Far from fancy, the place is meticulously clean. Dare to enter and you will be rewarded. Orders are placed at an entry counter. The menu is on the wall. Once you are seated, they deliver to your table.
From a welcome greeting at front door, all staff were friendly and helpful, not to mention full of charm and humor.
Two of our foursome had BBQd beef ribs, true finger food. Sloppy? You bet. And they could use some Handi-wipes to go with their paper napkins. I had tri-tips. It would have been difficult to cut the meat with the plastic cutlery, but it was sliced in bite-sized portions on my plate. Easy forking. We all raved about taste of delightful servings. Attentive servers replenished our soft drinks without our asking.
Wife Gretchen gave House of Chicken & Ribs 4 stars. She ordered flips which were freshly made potato chips, still warm when served. Side orders (two per order), served in individual platic cups, were nice Southern addition.
I saw there were a few earlier reviews complaining of the service, but it may have been racism (all staff are on-the-ball African-Americans). Our dinner for four came to $90 with tip. A tad pricey, but well worth it. Highly recommended but don’t confuse it with fine dining.

Whenever I (or we) crave some frozen yogurt this is the place we go to. It is local, friendly and very supportive of the community in which it is housed. They give back to schools, families, sporting activities. They are also a great place to purchase gift cards for any occasion. I have bought certificates for birthdays, get wells, thank you's and even slipped one into a Congrats on your wedding card. Feel free to sample if you are curious about a flavor. Then swirl to your hearts content.

Always a great way to start the morning. All the donuts are fresh and excellent. Chocolate bar with whip cream is my favorite. They have fresh coffee and many drink choices. Friendly and quick service. VERY convienent stop on Watt Ave with ample parking.

The Starbucks on Blue Ravine in Folsom, CA has very personable staff, fast service and good coffee. I like to stop there on my way to the office and I am always in a hurry so their quick service is just what I need.

We travel to Cuba in November and visited Sol Cubano to get a taste of what to expect. My wife went to Cuba in 2010 and the food was not good due to the embargo. Information available now, and at the restaurant, says now it is getting back to the historical past. We enjoyed our dinner at Sol Cubano and conversation with the waiter. The food was tasty and we will be back. The Papa rellena was very good, make sure to order an empanada, and the pork was delicious.

Very heavily used restaurant but built to handle high loads especially with the split drive through. Clean facility and fairly well run.

A true local greasy spoon. Indigestion went on for hours. OJ was weak - watered down. Hashbrowns were cooked in last weeks used grease. Sausage served cold and not tasty. Eggs were dry, overcooked. Omelets were just ok. Mushrooms were stale. Spinach was old. Cheese processed. Service was good. Staff was fast and friendly. They need new fresh ingredients and a cook that can cook.

BR and their 31 flavors have been around a long time. Their Ice cream is good, but not great. The drug store across the street with their little ice cream counter has a much better product. It is a much creamier ice cream. We shop BR 2-3 times a year for the ice cream/cake they make. IT is always a hit with the kids. To sit down and indulge in a bowl of creamy delicious ice cream, there are much better products out there. It is in the same room as a Togo's sandwich shop and sometimes customers are confused of where to stand in line. Kind of a weird set up.

Strip malls don't generally offer much more than the usual fast-food chain junk, so what a delightful surprise Extreme Hummus was for us, despite its goofy name and nondescript location. I don't know how "extreme" it was, but their regular hummus was perfectly delicious; next time, if we are ever in Citrus Heights again (admittedly not a likely scenario) we may try some of the other hummus varieties they offer. The gyro I had was hard to improve on, and though we didn't order them, the "Greek French Fries" looked interesting at the next table. The falafel plate was delicious, and we were back on the road again promptly, feeling well fed and satisfied. We might have been even quicker about it had we used their "drive through" window, but I generally don't like eating a meal in my car.
