Forty miles south of Tampa and just seven miles west of Bradenton, Anna Maria is a paradise island. With the Gulf of Mexico to the west, Tampa Bay and Anna Maria Sound to the east and Sarasota Bay to the south, the seven-mile-long tropical island is a gem, with beautiful white-sand beaches on all sides and a year-round population of just 1800. The island was originally discovered by the Timucan and Caloosan Native Americans and then by Spanish explorers.

Authenticity is the key for us at the Old Hamburg Schnitzelhaus™, and we strive to bring you the best in traditional German and Austrian cuisine. Our menu includes various versions of schnitzel, roasts, sausages, potato pancakes, brats and of course, German Gemutlichkeit (German hospitality). No question, we only serve the best German beers and wines. The atmosphere at the Schnitzelhaus™ is like what Anna Maria Island is for Florida: Fun, laid back, simply “gemutlich”. Come hang out and enjoy yourself on one of the wooden tables or by enjoying a or two beers or wines at the bar. Schnitzelhaus™ is the “Wirtshaus” where you gather with your friends, your date or even your grandmother. All are welcome, and all are encouraged to stay a while. We, the owners of the Schnitzelhaus™, are proud of what the Old Hamburg Schnitzelhaus™ Team started bringing to the Island some 15 years ago. We want to keep their heritage and take the German spirit on Anna Maria Island up to new generations. So all will know what German food and spirit stands for in today’s world and what it means to enjoy a fantastic Schnitzelhaus™ night.
Tasty, authentic German food and beer. However, service was ridiculous. Bread is served one slice at a time, as if rationed. Three different people, including the owner tried to take our bread plates and butter away from us. In class restaurants, you’re asked “would you like more bread.” This place pretends to be welcoming, but but the staff is intrusive and controlling. We will NOT go back.

We are located in the Historic City of Anna Maria, a quaint "Old Florida" area on the north end of Anna Maria Island. Our store is a unique collection of local art and interesting finds. We provide beach supplies, like suntan lotion, sunglasses, flip flops and other items to help you have fun and stay comfortable while at the beach. At Ginny's & Jane E's you will hear the sound of people enjoying a meal together with their friends and neighbors. Our cafe offers you a great breakfast and lunch menu. We bake our yummy cinnamon rolls from scratch each morning. We focus on fresh and natural ingredients. All our oink, clocks and moo's are the preservative and chemical free, from cage free eggs, no hormone and steroid free chickens ,to grass fed beef, we care about what we serve.
I love this place. You walk through a very cute gift shop full of goods by local artists to get to the restaurant, then you must stand in line to order. If you see an open table someone in your party can go sit while you order. Despite quite long lines to order we had no trouble getting a table either time we were there since many people are getting take-out. Everything is fresh, Local, and homemade. The sticky buns and creme brûlée french toast are to die for, the veggie burrito was loaded with veggies, and the skillets and pancakes are enormous.

Retail and wholesale dessert company. Wedding and specialty cakes.
Hometown Desserts did an amazing job for our wedding cake setup. We requested flavored mini cupcakes, starfish cookies, and a small cake, beach themed with turtles and crabs and a manatee.
Cindy and her team were so helpful and amazing and made an awesome unique cake! We received so many compliments on it!! And the prices were absolutely reasonable, especially considering it was a destination wedding for us.
Due to hurricane Irma I did not receive my cake topper in time, but Cindy had one available for us and helped us solve a small fiasco in a pinch!! Their hospitality is so welcoming.
Hometown Desserts awesome makes delicious cake pops!! As we enjoy them when we vacation on the island.

Our regular menu is based on the finest products we can find and updated seasonally. They are prepared in classic form, with emphasis on fresh, natural flavors.
Gave this 2/5 rating mostly because of our waitress. Our food was delicious and the portions were generous. Our dealings with the hostess was easy and pleasant. Unfortunately when it came to ordering our food and drinks, our waitress was disorganized and seemed more put out by our large party rather than pleasant and accomodating. Our food came out in a timely manner and was very good, however this was tainted by her unfriendly demeanor. As families that vacation together regularly, we are familiar with the issues of large parties and most waitresses are very helpful and flexible. Specifically when it came to ordering and spltitting the check, she informed us that she could not split the check between the three parties, stating that we were split up between three tables. (we were right next to one another) This was not explained at the start of our meal and we all agreed that we have never been to a restaurant that was unable to split the check. This goes directly back to the original sentiment that she was not flexible and seemed inconvenienced by our large party. I would reiterate that our expectations with a large party and a busy restaurant are reasonable and we understand the long wait and crowded atmosphere. However, we expected better service and a more pleasant experience from a highly rated restaurant.

We visit for ice cream about once a week. We also take home hand-packed quarts of their no-sugar-added black cherry. The BEST no-sugar ice cream I’ve ever had. (And I can’t find that anywhere else)
It’s a family owned place. Really kind, warm hearted service.
They have a repeat customer program to reward regular customers.

By the time we got our donuts, we had been waiting an hour. The earlier you get there the better!! The donuts were worth the wait though! Very fresh and it’s fun to create your own!

Gourmet Take-out Lunch and Dinner Italian Bakery, Deli, Italian Market, Pizzeria and Catering for all accasion
For me, the test of real Italian food are two dishes - Bolognese and Eggplant Parmigiana. This place passed both with flying colors. Great Bolognese with perfectly done pasta, and Eggplant Parm with the eggplant done so that it kept some texture and an incredible sauce.
This place will be a regular for Italian take-out. Solid menu, Vinny cares very much about what he serves.
Salute!

Enjoyable reasonably priced AMI eating alternative of made to order tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and Mexican bowls with a decent selection of bottled beers and soda. Had a very tasty wild boar chorizo taco topped with fresh ingredients and a side of black beans and rice with a cold bottle of Jarrito lime soda. Very limited inside and outside seating.
Apparently there are three other locations in the Bradenton area. Can't wait to return.
