Another meal out on our holidays took us to this eatery. Very French, very local restaurant, very good service and food.
Crepes were freshly made, we didn't mind waiting, and served with aplomb. Our waitress, how good is this, was learning English so communication no problem, (Note to self: learn more French!)
Lovely setting, lovely decor and very good food . . we will return here when next in the area. On way from and to car park, lovely view of moored boats on the river.

My family and I were headed to another top-rated Angers restaurant this afternoon only to find that they could not accommodate us (very small place). The hostess kindly suggested two other choices within walking distance. We found Au Restau-Theatre around the corner and on a side-street that we would not have otherwise found. The daily menu is listed on a kind of blackboard. The prices are extremely reasonable. More importantly, everything we chose was delicious. All three of our starters were flavorful and, as a main course, my husband particularly enjoyed the duck with caramel sauce. I appreciated the glass of Saumur Champigny selected by our waiter. Clearly all the dining guests were local except for us. And the staff was very friendly.

After 8 years on the Quai des Carme, distinguished by many guides including star by Michelin after a year "off" to furrow and discover Asia, The restaurant is coming back and writes a new story. This story we want it to be about sharing a room for 20 guests, a team at your service , proximity to our hosts for us ... becomes your home. An open kitchen, decorated by our care room, a rooftop Terrace ... a new place , a place of life ... a culinary loft !
Favored by locals and almost impossible to find from the street, this restaurant offers very imaginative dishes from a Michelin-starred chef. We had langoustines and foie gras for starters and foie gras and cod for the main course - all excellently prepared and full of flavor, with few amuse bouche in between. The open kitchen lets you see how your dishes are prepared - only a few meters away from your table. . Once they have less than 20 seats inside, you'd better book in advance.

Are here on a recent trip to Angers. The restuarant is clearly new and is run by a young couple who are trying very hard to please ( and succeeding).
The menu was small but the food was excellent and well presented. The stand-out feature was however the cost, at 15 Euros for 3 courses this represented really good value for money. If you are looking for good food and service in Angers without having to spend a fortune then I'd highly recommend Le Temps Retrouve. .

This is our favourite restaurant by far in the area. The ambience is so relaxed, but with excellent service and superb attention to detail in all areas. The chef, Laurent Surut, creates amazing dishes and on this visit, I felt that if possible, the food...MoreThank you so much! We are delighted that you have had a good time with us. See you soon in our new restaurant.

I never thought I'd say any restaurant used too little salt, but that actually seemed to be the case here, especially in the seafood appetizer. The chicken breast was among the best I've tasted, as was the carrot accompanying it! This is cooking that lays forth good ingredients, unadorned but correctly prepared. Interesting wines, excellent service, friendly atmosphere.

We found this on Tripadviser originally and we were pleased with the meal and general ambiance of the restaurant. It was fairly simple French style food and we all enjoyed our meals and wine. It was a short walk from the main square where the Grand Theatre is but far enough away to be quiet and non touristy.

Angers has a lot of places you can go to for a simple Sandwich, but it's hard not to feel slightly ripped off when you realize you just paid a lot for bread, cheese, ham and a slice of tomato if you're lucky. L'oriflamme stands out: here you get some excellent chicken sandwiches - their specialty - with variations on cream sauce, fried potatoes and other vegetables. Sandwiches are 4.60 and they are made on the spot with fresh ingredients. They are also open 7 days a week. When I feel like a good Sandwich I won't stay hungry after, AND I don't want to get something I'll hate myself for (I'm looking at you, McDonalds), this is my no.1 choice.
They also sell whole units of grilled chicken but up until now I only went there for the sandwiches.

It is quite simple but i think a special restaurant. The food was just excellent. We had fish and chicken with some special garnish what we were really satisfied. We also ordered African dessert which was also so delicious.
If you are not speaking French then it is a good idea to check their menu on their website (you can also find photos about the food) as mainly the waiter presented the menu.(They also have a small board to present the menu.) However the waiter did not speak that good English he was really kind.
Overall, I can only just recommend this place!

For of us we were travelling to Loire Valley and found that place just from here. We all are experienced sushi eaters.
Well, it is definitely not top 20 sushi in my life.
nothing particular I can say. But you won't find them SOOO nice. No wonder...you are in the middle of France
