Second time here. Wife had to drag me here the second time after the horrible experience the first time (see review). This time around we waited for 20 min. Sat down and waited for 45 min for our complete order to come. Couples seater after us left before us. All we ordered was 2 pizza and pasta. Kids pizza came out 15 min after we order it. The 10 min later wife pasta came. The about 15 min later I got my pizza. Server was good food was ok. Many open seats. Not crowded. How in the world is this the best place in town ? They covered my pizza (10.99) and offered a free dessert. I can’t try it again. Sorry guys.

What a total surprise! This is a "White Table-Cloth" dining experience that you'd expect at a first-class chop-house in a big city like Chicago, where we're originally from. The menu is full of exquisite delights! (check it out their website).
We had the Seared Scallop appetizer, then the Lobster Bisque, Caesar Salad, and a perfectly cooked melt-in-your-mouth Filet Mignon (about the size of your fist!) that rivaled anything we've ever had up North; accompanied by luscious baked potato and grilled baby asparagus! What an unbelievable meal to find in "small-town Carolina", Anderson, of all places!
The wait-staff was impeccable; our food came out well-timed between courses - and did I mention that the bar was well stocked with excellent wines and first-class spirits?...oh, yeah, then if you still have room, there's these marvelous deserts!
We were just blown away - We would have expected this kind of "fine dining" experience from a joint like Wild Fire, a top Zagat-rated Chicago-land steak-house. We've been a couple of times now, so the first time was not a fluke!
We live over an hour away, but that's still a LOT closer than the Big City for a dining experience of this caliber!

THE BEST BBQ! Smoked Pork, Ribs, Chicken and Beef Brisket. The meats are smoked daily for 8 to 14 hours in our on-site BBQ Pit using a mixture of woods (Hickory, Pecan, White Oak) combined with unique blends of spices and rubs. Our traditional southern side dishes are cooked from scratch in-house each day. Come on by and visit us early 'cause when it's gone, IT'S GONE!
My visit was ok. Staff was ok. Food was ok. Nothing memorable and nothing calls me to return. Strangely enough the place kept getting fuller and fuller with happy people. Perhaps I had a The Bad Luck of a Bad Draw. Full tables of locals don’t lie. I just simply didn’t understand the draw to this place as for me it was barely average.

First you have to find it. The restaurant is on a side street (Earl Street) near the Main Street of old downtown Anderson. The old commercial building is hard under the highway overpass but that works out great since their outdoor seating space in directly under the highway. It makes for a totally funky patio. The restaurant’s main space is equally interesting and also spacious. Earl Street’s menu is a bit eclectic so it’s hard to define. My husband had their special that day: individual chicken/broccoli casserole. He thought it was delicious. The tomato tower appetizer is outstanding.

We ate there a week ago for the first time. Service was excellent. And I loved the variety in the breakfast menu!! The sweet potato pancakes with pecans and cinnamon syrup were excellent. Thanks so much for the great review. We appreciate when our guests take time to let us know how we are doing. We've been exploring restaurants regularly since moving near Anderson the first of the year, and Doolittle's is our best overall experience thus far. Many local places are closed Sunday and/or Monday, so a Monday was a good day to try Doolittle's. Not busy, good service,...MoreThanks so much Brad! We work hard to ensure that every guest has a five star experience with us, and are thrilled to know you were able to! We appreciate your review, and can't wait to have you back!

Dined here on a recent Friday early evening around 4:45pm. Our party of 5 was seated immediately. Items ordered were the sirloin steak, ribeye steak, nachos, quesadilla and salmon. Sides enjoyed were the loaded mashed potatoes and collards. 3 of us got salads with our meals and they were delicious.
Everyone loved their food. Everything was great and that is rarely the case. Usually there is one weak item. This was not the case. The steaks and the salmon were all prepared as ordered. The sides were hot. Two of the kids ordered appetizers as their meals and those were hot and delicious.
The service was perfect. There when it was needed but not oppressive.
Great meal !

We’ve been going to the Galy for 10 years now, it was our favorite place for special occasions. Unfortunately it had declined! It needs updating desperately, not very attractive with waterstained ceilings that sag. Also we were not impressed with the service we had early this month for a party of twelve; squeezed us in to a tight fit.
The food is not as good either; quality or quantity have wained.
We decided to go to Sullivan’s this year for our anniversary and I hope our group will agree to switch for our annual Christmas party next year.

Tucked into the heart of downtown Anderson, SC, McGEE's IRISH PUB & RESTAURANT offers a distinct alternative to regular eating & drinking establishments. Diversity is the key to McGEE's special appeal. Business people appreciate the quality & value of our lunches, as well as the speed & friendly manner in which they are served. Others prefer to linger, quietly enjoying the afternoon and forgetting the world outside.
This was my first time eating at McGees. I’ve always heard great things just never took the time to go. We went for a Christmas party and it was fantastic. Food and service was great.

A child's mac and cheese, half a philly sub , two waters and a large Maui wowi pizza ran me $60. Pizza was ok, large slices. Ate three pieces took rest home just to throw away. Service was spot on and atmosphere was good. No wait. May go back again but only if the pocket permits.
