A Fine Dining Experience'Rajputana' now known as Rajasthan was the land of many princely states which includes Jaipur . 1135 AD derives its name from the year in which the Kacchawaha clan founded the dynasty. The royal cooks worked in the palaces and kept their recipes to themselves. Some recipes were passed on to their descendants and the rest were passed on as skills to the chefs. Our chef takes anectodes from the royal cooks and brings forth the true culinary valour of the 'Rajput Kingdom'. The restaurant is divided into many sections. The Shahi Aangan, is centrally located and is open to the sky. The Swarna Mahal is the main restaurant and the Diwan E Khas is the boardroom for business meetings. The Sheesh Mahal is for private dining, entirely from silver and gold, it dazzles with royal, old-world charm. Flickering candles bring alive an era gone by.Rajput valour, glory and grandeur- this is the essence of 1135 AD, Amber.
Typical tourist trap restaurant, that is using its position / location to get people to come and pay overly high prices for ... for the pseudo maharaja feeling...
We went there for a late lunch. At the table there was a dirty napkin (nobody checked that it was already used). Table cloth was dirty -- see the photo -- nobody thought about changing it... Silwerware was not exactly silver ;-)
But the worst -- food price-performance. Nothing special... I mean -- same quality food can be found in multiple places for 1/2 price...
Not going bacck and suggest -- avoid it.

Padao is probably really nice if you're uninterested in the food and only want the view. However, if food is one of the reasons you're there, you'd rather not. Options are limited and unnecessarily pricey.
They have an entry fee which covers a drink - we got Masala Tea - it was not freshly brewed, machine made but passable. We had the Paneer Pakoda to snack on and it probably contained a mini oil factory in the coating. Give it a skip.

I stayed here with a friend based on our tour agency and ate breakfast lunch and dinner. There was good variety between Indian and western food with an occasional Chinese mix. I am unsure of the cost as it came together with the tour but it was tasty.

Though we were initially worried the food compensates for the disappointing ambience. We landed just around 2pm and the place was packed with Abigail group of foreign guests waiting as we settled down. Veg and non veg are on offer though we had only the veg stuff.

For me this place is food heaven. I love to take paneer tikka msaala they cooked it very well. I have visited so many places around jaipur and amer but The Bhoora Dhaba food is all above of them.
I always make plan to visit this place on weekends.
