This local place has been here for YEARS (it says somewhere on the menu but I forgot) and the locals all know about it and come here.
Set in a plaza with other cute little rustic log buildings, this restaurant is sort of like a throwback to an old timey diner versus a fine dining establishment. The interior is nothing but log cabin feel and VERY woodsy. Wait staff is quick and attentive and very friendly while still being professional. Great mix!
Food is good, down home stuff that you will like and you will get FULL. Everything is huge. Be ready to take stuff home with you.
We got a giant salad and some pork chops, too much food for four people let alone the two of us.
Either way, it was good, stick to your ribs type food and we enjoyed it.
A little on the pricey side but around here there isn't a lot to choose from and we weren't complaining.
Check them out!

What a great place! The craft beer selection offered a range of tasty beers. We sat at the bar and sipped while watching all these yummy dishes being served so we ordered their BBQ Platter with a side of Mac 'n Cheese. Delicious! The Platter had a sampling of brisket, pulled pork, sausage & ribs which were all very good and very filling. The atmosphere has a trendy & friendly vibe. The outdoor patio area is large and inviting with orange chairs, tables, and trees for shade. We'll definitely visit again when in the area.

This was an unexpected treat upon entering San Diego. The server Katie Jo was remarkable with her willingness to make sure the order was to one's satisfaction. She offered a lil sample to verify that was the order requested. It was a tad pricy being it was a java caffe; however, it was ever so tasty and made to order. Departing San Diego 5 days later chose to revisit. The service was ok, but lacked the passion of Katie Jo. Learned the punch card is for each visit not for each cuppa Joe, 2nd visit ordered more than one cuppa Joe. The coffee is good, the location perfect and the small interior offered pictures of said caffe in France. If service consistent and the knowing of a punch card is for each cup not visit, it'd been 5 stars.

Have never gone wrong with the orange chicken here. There is a bit of batter on the chicken but it holds the sauce better and you can still taste the chicken. Large to very large serving and always hot when served. Big menu with lots of choices including Japanese food from bento boxes to sushi.

If I could only do a 4.5, I would! Great place that opens at 9:00 am on Sunday, locals brought us here. We got there at 9:30 and there were already 5 couples eating. The Italian sausage and eggs with potatoes is what we walked by and many ordered it. We all loved it, you got to be ready for Italian marinara sauce, some melted cheese over roasted potatoes, ordered extra crispy with a lot of Italian sausage. $12.95 and comes with a glass of Champaign, a lite fruit and mini muffin breakfast appetizer was terrific. The Bloody Marys are truly a meal, chunky, spicy, delightful full force, worth ordering virgin for those that love Bloody Marys but don’t need the buzz, of course ours were fully loaded. One of us had the croissant breakfast sandwich and it was really big, and had it for snack later. With a round of drinks for for our two couples, and all we could eat with a healthy tip for good service (one drink spill short of 5 stars) we spent $90 were fully satisfied. Sitting outside on the porch with our small dog fit our needs perfectly... Looking forward to coming back to up to Alpine to up the rating to full 5***

We finished off a day of birding by pulling 9 people together in our group and indulging in delicious pub fare long side phenomenal drinks and a small selection of desserts. Our server seemed to be very busy servicing other tables, quite possibly they were short handed. I noticed that the bartender seemed to be able to handle a lot of volume but the tables were being neglected, at least ours was when it came to getting the desserts we would highly recommend Alpine for the beer and possibly the brisket, pulled pork anything in the chef suggests!

This is a great place to eat, the prices aren't bad and they have good specials. We've had the all you can eat fish and chips which is really good. Also their breakfast are good and the portions are big. Not real big inside, but on a nice day, you can sit outside. Which we prefer. It was a nice little secret, but more and more people are finding out about it. Oh well, when it's good the word gets out.

Sure, you can eat all you want, but can you really eat that much? I don't want 4 different things for breakfast, then 4 different desserts. The food and service is good, but it is a bit overwhelming, crowded and noisy
