I like everything about this restaurant except one thing. In more than 50 % of the restaurant you're aloud to smoke meaning a hell for us non smokers. Follow the rest of Europe and keep restaurants and bars smoke free and you will get a much higer review and more guests.

Good variety of food selection and it's delicious. Services can be improve. The beautiful interior design and table seatings are great. Fire place and the wooden walls make the atmosphere awesome, view is spectacular and luckily all these make-up for the average services.

I'm against hunting and I don't like interior of this place. Everywhere dead animals. But to be honest food is very good. From salad to meat. Location of the building is in beautiful place! I think this place is specialized for big families with a lot of children. There's plenty of place for children outside of the building.

Jägerstuberl is what you find in places where business is too easy. I am sure hoards of winter tourists find it trendy an easy-going. Let's be fair, it serves mediocre standard food, with little attention to the not-regular customers and thrives on being the cheaper eatery on the main street. Still not really worth the price.

The way to one's heart is through the stomach. Our cafe and restaurant, the "Milchbar", has made quite a name for itself over the last 40 years. It's a place where Tyrolean products meet recipes we have discovered in a variety of countries and continents. Opening times: Winter: 10.00 am - 11.00 pm (kitchen 11.00 am - 9.30 pm). Summer: 11.00 am - 10.00 pm (kitchen 11.00 am - 9.00 pm) closed on Sunday RESERVATIONS: We do Reservations for Guests staying in our apartements ONLY. Please come along and we will try to find a table for you.
Nice restaurant in Gerlos, very cosy with open fire and friendly waitresses wearing dirndls, but not too touristy. They have a good selection of authentic tirolean dishes and specialise in Rostis, however I had the Alaska (salmon) salad, which was super tasty and big (after a full day on the slopes I needed it).
My friends had their baby daughter with them and they were well looked after, the restaurant is well set up for kids.
The apple strudel was amazing, food was good value considering and portion size is generous. In the end we are here two nights in a row, everyone was happy and we would definitely return.

Ate lunch here out of season so this was the only cafe open but there were still a good few diners in the café. I ordered only a soup but my other half had pork steak on skewers which came in a huge dish with potato rosti, rice, vegetables and tasty mushroom sauce. I had a small portion of this and it was delicious. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive. I'd be happy to try other dishes on their extensive menus.

Nice quiet pizzeria. It was late by the time we got there and were seated at the bar. Watched the staff work the wood fired oven. Good solid pizza after a full day of skiing.

In the ski village Gerlos most of the restaurants are connected to hotels and "Gästhauses" the remaining are at best snack bars. The restaurant of hotel Gaspingerhof is one of the few that is open to non hotel guests. By far it was the best restaurant we had diner in Gerlos. Cooking, staff and ambiance are all very good. Although it takes some steps to make a reservation, first the hotel reception, than the restaurant where staff will check again with the hoteldesk, it's worth this small trouble.
The food is of fine quality, all courses are well presented and served. Unless other places in Gerlos where students and other temporary waiters are working, this staff is professional. Tables are covered with fine linen.

The restaurant of Sonnenhof, a guesthouse, is also open for others who want to diner in Gerlos. Gerlos is a beautiful ski village however lacking of restaurants. However it's not advisable to have your diner here. In order to mask the poor quality of the food, lots of sauce and salt is used. The waitress did not seem to care the quality either. Her response on the remark on the food was a reference to an old expression that if the food was to salt "the cook will be in love".
