The Border Wine Room is a refuge for those who are looking for somewhere different to meet family and friends and enjoy the good things in life.
There is little doubt this establishment is working hard to deliver a unique and well conceived style of food. They also catered for dietary requirements in pleasing ways. This noted the balance of ingredients was not always achieved. Servings were elegant but small - fashionable so but was it value for money?. Combinations worked often but our main course on the night was under seasoned and lacked a complimentary dimensions in taste and texture.
It is pricey for a meal that whilst memorable in flashes failed to deliver consistently.
Staff are amenable and informed.

A group of three of us visited the restaurant and it was exceptional. Service was great and meal was delicious - I had the wrapped lamb (with mint) and my colleagues had the gnocchi. All of us were very happy with our food.
It is a tad on the pricey side however the food and service were worth it.

Visited Sunday morning about 9.00AM, and waited a short time for an outdoor table. The menu is fairly standard breakfast fare, including muesli, bacon and eggs on toast - with options, pancakes, home made baked beans, and bagels.
The coffee is excellent, which isn't always the case at cafes. I had the corned beef bagel, my partner opted for the eggs on toast. The delay on receiving our food was longer than optimum, but when it came we were happy with the result. All in all a satisfying breakfast in a cafe we would consider revisiting.

A short drive from Albury airport, tucked among the Peards Albury Complex, resides locally loved Cafe Borellas. Through rustic and industrious doors awaits three separate dining areas and a delightful outdoor courtyard. Cafe Borellas is an ideal meeting place with classic tasty Oz favourites on the extensive menu. Fully licenced and open every day from 7.30am it's just the place to relax and enjoy a coffee before wandering into the award winning nursery or exploring the brand new gift, pots and Fountain showroom right next door.
We wanted a light lunch and drinks and Borellas does this in a well run, comfortable restaurant with great service, good menu selection, large or small meals, great quality, good selection of drinks, hot, cold alcoholic or not. We had wraps, one Thai beef and...MoreThank you very much. Please visit us again soon

Established for more than 15 years, we promise to offer you the delight's of Indian cuisine combined with good service.
I have always been curious about trying Indian cuisine but I’m very glad we decided to go to Indian Tandoori Restaurant. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and explained the menu when unsure. The Butter chicken meal was scrumptious and was such a large serving.Thankyou for such a delightful experience.

This restaurant is part of the Best Western Plus Hovell Tree Inn, located on the beautiful Murray River esplanade.
We ate in The Hovell after arriving at the hotel after a long drive and didn't feel like going out again. It is not cheap but we really enjoyed the roasted garlic bread with parmesan cheese as a starter which was outstanding. My flathead and chips was very good, although more fish and perhaps a little less salad and chips would have been my personal preference. The service was good and met our expectations. We didn't linger for dessert because frankly we were uncomfortably hot in the restaurant. It was a very hot day outside and either the air conditioner could not cope or it was not turned on. We were sitting directly under an air con vent and felt no air coming out/circulating at all. It spoiled what was otherwise a very good restaurant experience.
